I managed 4 storerooms for a large city. We stocked really nice pigskin leather gloves, batteries, hand tools and brass water meters and parts. I told my employees to charge items to our department if they wanted batteries for a radio, gloves or other items. I know they still stole stuff.. The safety officer told me she would prefer people used safety gear at home so they wouldn't get injured and miss time at work. The water meters were a real theft problem. Old or obsolete ones were supposed to be returned to the meter shop for repair or saved to be sold as scrap but most were taken by employees to a recycler and the money was kept, hundreds of dollars a week. I gave that info to the purchasing agent for action. People were allow to resign or else be prosecuted. A friend wanted me to give hm around $200 worth of wrenches. No way Jose.

I bought two vehicles using a CR guide that showed how much dealers pay the mfgrs for cars. The guide suggested how much the salesman, manager and dealer should make ( a few hundred to I forget how much) . Bought an F-150 by phone and fax, agreed on the options and price with the fleet sales manager and the truck was built the way I wanted it. It was shipped to the dealer less than two weeks later. The manufacturers also send money to dealers for meeting sales goals.

School. I learned how to give the correct answer. True- False and multiple choice questions are easy. The true-false gives you the answer , one is correct and I usually did better than 50-50 selecting the right one. On multiple choice there were four options and two were usually obviously wrong, one had a word or phrase that steered me to the right answer. Essay questions make you think and compose a reply. Harder to fake. Math is one area that's hard to fake your knowledge. I did OK in Algebra and Geometry with a minimum of study. Trig was too much for me, couldn't understand it.
