What about a laptop user visiting the site repeatedly from an Afghanistan ISP, then suddenly one day the same laptop (same cookie) starts visiting from a Washington area ISP.. far fetchned, but might be interesting to know under some circumstances.
Obviously not, but I trust Google's page rank algorithm to rank the real site higher than any fake sites, at least I trust it more than my spelling. Speaking of spelling, Google corrects that too.:-)
I don't even do that, if I don't have a bookmark saved, I Google for the company name and click on a link from there, rather than risk making a typing mistake that could take me to a fake site. At least when I'm going to be doing financial transactions, like on paypal or my bank or something.
I haven't played games in years, but I looked at the screen shots out of curiousity. The grass looks blurry to me, like it's got major motion blur. Is this normal for these new fangled 3d games? Maybe it's just me but it looks really strange.
Yesterday powertabs.net disabled downloading of user transcribed guitar tablatures of songs in response to statments made yesterday by the MPA threatening legal action against sheet music, tablature, and lyric websites.
That's the first thing that jumped to my mind. I wonder if Google will be the next target, or are they partnering with the RIAA in this? I guess you could argue that Google is stimulating sales of legitimate media by directing people to iTunes, etc.
Wine Is Not an Emultar .. oh, wait a sec...

More accidents happen on the ground than in the air.
Flamebait? hmm. I thought it was a valid comment, as it has happened in the past. Check out this link.
At least she didn't say "What's Slashdot?" :-)
If I'm not gunna read TFA, why would I read your cut-and-paste job that may or may not be edited?
A better analogy would be that they install cameras in the bathrooms when you're not looking..
Last time I checked there were a lot more than 30 states .. I'm not even American, and I know that.
And the people of France can download pirated versions of Windows via P2P!
If only this technology could be applied to Slashdot!

Those girls probably thought they were signing up to be CSI's.
Women are too smart to want to go into IT.
Another great innovation from Microsoft.
People love spotting dupes, it's a fun game that generates traffic. It's a Win-win.
And as far as governments are concerned, all it's subjects (err, citizens) are loved ones!

Are you saying it's not now?

Did you mean: 'scuse me while I kiss the sky
Cool!
I would too, but I'm still trying to build a lense out of a Pringles can.
That movie Castaway with Tom Hanks was basically a 2 hour commercial for FedEx too. It really is sickening.
Only if all your chips happen to be of identical size and shape.
A mirror? You mean to reflect the sun through the macro lense to toast the ant in the molasses?
