I mistype my passowrd for the third time and it takes five minutes for windows to tell me that I don't have the right password, that's not a bug?
Actually that's done on purpose to slow down people who are trying to guess the password. Linux does the same thing, except the delay is configurable, in Windows the delay gets progressively longer.
So for once I can say it's a feature, not a bug, and I'm not being sarcastic!:)
Probably those bands are doing that illegally. Usually the record company owns all rights to the bands songs and lyrics.
I don't have a link, but there was a Slashdot article a while ago about a band getting sued by its record company for putting MP3's of their stuff on the web without the record companies permission.
I wouldn't pay for just lyrics. I play guitar in a semi-pro cover band, and I use these lyric sites a lot, it will be rather annoying to have these sites shut down, not to mention the free sheet music sites. Obviously I can figure out the lyrics and music by ear, but it takes longer. When you have to learn 50 songs in a hurry, every bit helps.
I wonder how long until my band gets sued for playing these songs in public.
Judges have no problems coming down on mothers of five because they truthfully don't care.
Maybe I'm a cold hearted bastard, but I really don't see the logic as to why the number of kids a person has should effect whether they are allowed to commit crimes or not. Or whether they're male or female, or whether they're married or divorced.
I don't agree with the RIAA suing downloaders, but I don't think it should matter if you have kids or not.
I disagree.. The average user I talk to is sick of pop-ups, spywayre, browser hijacks and other nusances that come with IE. When I tell them about Firefox, they are interested and some even download it.
Yep, here's the website of the guy that can break a crystal glass with his voice (without an amp). http://www.thevoiceconnection.com/ There's lessons and stuff there in case you're interested in singing.
How is my workstation behind a NAT with address 192.168.0.10 vulnerable to the internet? Firewall or not, it's not routable from outside.
I see your point though, NAT's and Firewalls need to be mentally seperated into seperate entities.. The way I use them, I tend to think of them as different sides of the same thing.
I didn't think of this before, but how does IPv6 fit into the whole DRM scheme of things. Isn't your IPv6 address tied to your Mac address? Will Microsoft be able to track you based on this fixed IPv6 address?
NAT also has the side effect of security.. I don't think I want my fridge and toaster exposed to the internet without my trusty Linux NAT firewall between it.

I would post the lyrics to "Suicide Solution" by Ozzy Osbourne, but I'm scared of getting sued...

I don't get it .. Have these people never used Windows? How can they buy a Microsoft X-Box and then be surprised when it crashes?
Maybe he had a cracked application that was infected, and re-installed it after wiping the machine, thereby reinfecting himself.
I'm Sam Carter, please stop using my name in screen shots!

How about stop posting on Slashdot.

Your magazine sounds interesting and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter. ..oh, uh, never mind.
If that lame mime reference is any indication of how this book is written, I'll take a pass on it. ;-)
Internal drives tend to not be thrown in backpacks and generally abused, though.
Actually, I wasn't aware of that (honest). I just remembered the link from reading about it on a singing forum.

You're probably thinking of Windows NT where you had to hit CTRL-ALT-DEL before entering your password.
It's a new paradigm!
And an endless, ad-displaying, revenue generating loop is created! The perfect business plan! :-)

Yes, the web site says that any earnings are credited to your Amazon account. You can later cash out if you want to, or spend it at Amazon.
Internet Cafe's are popular in many countries, although if you're paying by the hour to use a PC, that would really eat into your proffit margin.
These could be bogus tasks just created to get the project moving..
Of course, after transfering that money to my bank account, I'd probably be in the red after service charges.
