If I point out that Saddam backwards has the same sounding syllables as mad ass, am I being disrespectful to war victims and veterans? Relax.

Would it hold water if they were sued? Could slashdot be held responsible for in turn pointing thousands of downloaders in their direction? Then again, many sites showed the deCSS thing a while back and only one poor Norwegian guy got in trouble.

After the winter we've just had in New England and the lousy so called spring we're now having we could use a little global warming. No need to get all personal about it throwing insults around, I was trying to be witty since the article was somewhat related to typing and spelling and all that, and your post was about infinity (note I didn't mention monkeys). Alas, my spelling is better than my sense of humor. Pointing out every spelling error on slashdot is an exercise in futility, sort of like that guy and the rock.

Americans don't hate soccer, American journalists hate soccer.
The sports media is controlled by sports writers who only understand the so called major sports they grew up with. The MLS which is still not a mature league gets 100,000+ people per week at their games. The US national team is ranked 10th in the world, FIFA World Ranking ,and they regularly draw more than 50,000 per game. People have been saying for years that once the US national team is good the media will cover them better. Well, they're good now and nothing's changed.
I know I can never convince anybody of how great "the beautiful game" is but in a country where the national sport is baseball I can't accept the "soccer is boring" excuse.
