I'd like to strap one on to my motorcycle helmet and record my trips. I could then report the assholes texting, analyze the moves, etc. Nano wold work a lot better, sizewise, than a mino.
Those are all good links and all, but what will they do about the energy lost in transit, or otherwise absorbed into the atmosphere, and would by its very nature contribute to global warming?
I don't understand why you people think that any OS can be imprevious to a trojan?
As an OS X user, this is great news. This way I don't have to wonder if my Apple using friends are downloading Photoshop from TPB and getting infected.
But, no, as of yet, there are still no self-propagating viruses or worms for OS X. Even though my snide Windows friends keep sending me the sky is falling emails every month about OS X being just as vulnerable as Windows.
I couldn't even bother to finish a 2 minute trailer. Can someone from Hollywood send me 30 million bucks, and I'll mail them my bowel movements for the next year?
I realize that pagehits bring in revenue, but remember when slashdot used to be a cool place for *NIX nerds to hang out?
WTF is this site becoming? I don't mind a valid critique of Apple, they deserve it on many issues, but shite like this is easily caused by ATT. Some actual reporting wouldn't fracking hurt. As it is, the whole slash is becoming one massive Idle section, good for nothing but wasting time.
A boosted hop, according to Carmack's previous work, is when you do a little hop, and then detonate something below you. The resulting detonation boosts your original hop.
PULL OUT!? are you retarded or did you go to a private school?
Do they not teach you kids that you can squeeze out juices prior to finishing, for the purpose of lubrication? Good grief. Well, good for you and your girlfriend.
I got my wife pregnant while using spermicide, so that just goes to show that even with protection you can end up with what the mother nature intended for you. (And also that my little spermies are unstoppable!!!)
That is a funny comment, but consider this, my shop supports 250 users, 20 servers, and there are only 3 of us doing it. One is a dept. head, so really doesn't do any support for either servers or users. So realistically there are only 2 of us doing end user support, infrastructure and server administration. And most of the days are so busy that I have ample time for "research".
allright, although this has been mentioned on slash about a million times before, here it goes:
-there are other ways to install a browser, you can have a downloader supplied, you can do it via FTP, or you can simply pick up a CD. -IE is insecure, and simply having it on your system is a risk. someone may accidentally use it, other programs with vulns can invoke it etc. -apple does not have a monopoly on the consumer OS. And even if they did, they're not abusing it.
Microsoft was not found guilty of being a monopoly. They were found guilty of abusing it. Welcome to slashdot.
For one, a percentage of users too busy to worry about security will end up with Opera, Chrome, or FFox (or Safari:) instead of Exploder. Whether on their own volition, or by support of some of the more knowledgeable IT friends. This means less zombie machines out there sending spam to all of us.
I don't think google or mozilla should have any problem printing CDs and giving them for free on news stands or wherever else.
If I were a windows user, you'd better believe I'd be torrenting this baby so I can easily have an Exploder free version of the OS.
Kudos to EU, and kudos to MS for trying to play hardball.
Yes,
but the process of attaching the masks may hurt the bees' knees.
Where can we learn more about this bitfrost-like security model?
I'd like to strap one on to my motorcycle helmet and record my trips. I could then report the assholes texting, analyze the moves, etc. Nano wold work a lot better, sizewise, than a mino.
Because Apple is a successful Unix vendor, and Microsoft is not.
You had me at "praying mantis"!
duh, you need to go to www.hulu.com
It's on the web now.
That is funny, but as a Bosnian in Nebraska, I have to say it does parse properly.
Those are all good links and all, but what will they do about the energy lost in transit, or otherwise absorbed into the atmosphere, and would by its very nature contribute to global warming?
By a huge margin?
What metrics are you using? Time?
Because it certainly isn't the quantity of exploits.

Holy smokes, does that look stupid.

No dummy, Apple. It's way better (looking) than Blackberry....
I think the proper word to use is "offer" rather than "sell" when it comes to Zunes.

I'm an American, what's an OSLO?
I keed, I keed...
Yes, but ATT pay as you go plans no longer allow for unlimited data.
WOULD PEOPLE PLEASE STOP SAYING THAT XP IS A NICE, USABLE, STABLE OS?
For an example of those, use OS X. Otherwise you may as well consider Yugo, a comfortable, dependable family vehicle.
Here's what might be a stupid question, but do you know if those games run on parallels/fusion/virtual box, or crossover games on OS X?
As I listen to Dëthklok, I marvel at a radio that would have a Metal/normal equalizer preset.
That would be pretty metal.
