    That's a terrible policy. There will always be a percentage that takes NO vacation that everyone else will be compared to. Giving generous vacation and forcing employees to take it is much better.

    I had two cousins that were home schooled until high school where they graduated 1st and 2nd in their class. My aunt actually was a certified teacher- I think this is important. If you have misgivings about you wife's motivation and she really hasn't shown an interest in education I really think it would be a mistake.
    I have 'home schooled' my kids in the summer and found that creating lesson plans and going over their assignments after work was exhausting. It is a huge commitment.

    Worked 10 years contracting for a government agency. I don't think I ever saw a floppy disk- not even once.

    The original definition of a felon was person who committed a crime punishable by death. Now it includes things like spitting your gum on the sidewalk and jaywalking. Peeing in a bush next to a bar isn't a felony but will make you a lifetime sex offender if you are caught....

    Cruiser bikes weigh more, so you would end up sacrificing range to have one... not to mention that cruisers are for going longer distances. I think the bike looks great compared some of the other electrics out there and wouldn't mind having one for around-town if it doesn't cost too much.

    It's called cost shifting. Food is cheap but cost of schools, healthcare, prisons (and a host of other things) go up. Nothing is free.

    I can't remember the actual reference but someone figured out just the coordinate data to describe a grain of salt and it was HUGE.....

    Not answering your question directly but after having kids I get a kick out of young couples who get dogs or cats to prepare them for having children. It's nothing like having children- not even a little bit.
