There was no specific release date other than "late April", which has been on Apple's UK site for over a month. Quit trying to make a damn conspiracy out of nothing.
YOU don't have a problem with this because it doesn't affect YOU. And having your name expire *twenty years or longer* after you've supposedly served your time isn't rehabilitation --- it's an extension of sentence. Ask any sex offender, including the ones on a list for say......statutory of a 17 year old. The mob mentality, the iPhone apps showing nice little maps where you live, etc.
Many of them would tell you that prison is almost safer.
I'm sorry, but you're not allowed to redefine the dictionary like that. The iPhone is called a smartphone on many tech blogs, CNN, etc. If you have a hangup over that, calling it a feature-phone doesn't change that fact.
And that would last approximately six seconds before www.google.cn was blocked. You don't always start off a negotiation by punching someone in the face, by the way.
Early on, it was due to the accessories (docks on your office desk, car connections, etc). Now, it's a combination of that and inertia. Also, "everything" is an iPod now in the sense that all tissue is Kleenex.
And I would fire you the first time you pulled that tactic with me. If you accept employment, you agree to work for the terms and pay offered. If you want specific terms, you request them prior to employment.
You assume the people that voted for him were idiots. I take offense; I voted for Pres. Obama specifically because of his policy suggestions. If you disagree with those policies, fine --- but don't try to lump everyone together and say we're blind. *I* am not.
I'm on a late-2008 24" iMac, 3.06Ghz / 512 Geforce 8800. My computer lags so bad in Dalaran after the 3.3 patch, I feel like a kernal panic is due any moment. One of the *first* things I noticed from the graphical changes they talked about was this weird fog in the Stormwind background behind my human paladin on the character select screen. Something drastic was changed, and not necessarily for the better.
And that attitude is exactly why we have programs such as MADD -- to provide facts, not wild internet theories. "A couple of beers" is why I recently stood in front of my commander, and witnessed my troop lose a stripe (for DUI). "A couple of beers" also killed my best friend when I was 19.
Maybe....just maybe if you're a ginormous food-addicted beast will it have a lesser effect on you from "a couple of beers" than me. But that's not what kills people. It's their feeling of being superhuman; of how it won't happen to them; how 2 beers and drive becomes 6 beers and drive later on.
I'm not attacking you -- I'm attacking that train of thought. If you drink.... even if it's just one.... CALL A TAXI. Please.
1) What's your suggestion to fix the problem? I see a lot of complaints, but so few solutions. You may have suggested something like.... hardening systems thru more secure software (abandon Windows -- whether you like it or not, it's the best target due to being used by everyone). Or, maybe beefing up a cyber attack strategy? No... instead, you complained only to complain.
2) It's not a Presidential Apology Tour. You could have made a good point, but instead you put your bias at the forefront of your post. To do so merely puts the reader/listener in a defensive position, rather than paying attention to the point you're trying to make. I don't recall seeing a press conference from Beijing where Pres. Obama is apologizing for our ways.
See, this is the asshat comments that drive me away from Slashdot. You stated that about Microsoft/Google in a way to present bias --- that MS is evil and Google is not. Microsoft *did* setup Bing to steal users --- that's how a business gets customers in an established area. You don't see McDonald's saying "No, we'll let them have the 30-39 age group" to KFC.
Google did the exact same thing. Or do you believe that they didn't setup a search engine to steal customers from Yahoo, Altavista, and others just to sell ads?
Why do I come here? Let me relate it to a car scenario...
Say for example you drive to a McDonalds, you ask for a Big Mac and receive a Stanley Cup. That's why I come to Slashdot.

Politics? We already covered "how to do it illegally".

I thought ReiserFS would be the "killer app" for Google...

Q: How many feminists does it take to change a light bulb? A: None. Feminists never change anything.
Thanks for taking the time to type out that review. It seems thorough and on-point.

Does your theory apply to my uniform? I wear the ABU (Airman Battle Uniform) in most environments. I'm also an IT guy.

Wow. [citation needed].
No, wait...citation required.
You're accurate, if abrasive about it. Why so angry?

I lol'd hard.
Only on Slashdot does someone refer to Maine as an "extreme climate". I know it's cold outside your basement, but it's not that cold.

C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!

Here on Slashdot, anything Microsoft is now filtered with asterisks. Much like curse words.
Did someone say Candleja
My kingdom for a mod point. Sometimes, an epic rant as a response is necessary.
