Wise move. I still play one now and again (PinBot \m/) but I will not pay anything more than 50 on a game. Most are 3 balls with a wide gaping space between the flippers. I'd rather gamble, at least I have a chance then.
I agree with the technology not being the problem, what people do is. The problem is you see it as a black and white issues when it really isn't. The RIAA has been shafting artists and consumers for years. This brings them little sympathy. In this way it's almost a Robin Hood type thing but nobody is going hungry over this. If you are going to compare music sharing with GPL than at least don't ignore the differences.
I am thinking 3-5 years ago. About the time other CSU's did similar. Also may I applaud your memory? I'm sure your locker combo from junior high is still locked in your mind too.
Wow. How totally petulant and immature of you. I'm sure your infantile actions were taken very seriously (moreso than if you had done something like written a letter to the manager) and not dismissed outright (as they were at my old job in the area). How the fuck was the management even to know why you just walked your special self out of the store? All they probably knew was somebody threw a hissy fit and walked out. Bravo. Thanks for reminding me why I moved out of the state:)
While that particular Cub does suck (mainly because it's hopeless busy) your actions did nothing to help anybody. I hope sometime you get to be a cashier and follow store policy.
I don't know about anybody else, but when I come across one of those nasty RAR files I have to run WinRAR under wine to open it since the Debian unrar packages are fucked. That is not anywhere close to convenient.
Make it easier to disable flash temporarily so I can turn it off on those sites that abuse it.
Maybe this will help? I put it in my bookmark bar for easy access.
Our car broke down on a trip. For 4 hours we were in a little gas station / restaurant frequented by truckers and hunters. I found a booth with a power outlet and managed to charge my Gmini XS200 the entire time we were there. I think the complementary coffee cost them more. They more than made the money back on what we bought and it kept me happy.
So your grandfather doesn't care if his machine spews out spam? By golly, he must be a pillar of American society! If it doesn't affect him why should he care?
It's a good idea, no doubt. The thing is it costs money to do and won't make people feel all warm and fuzzy. Take the newer $20 bill for instance. That serial # helps track and prevent counterfitting but it's the shiny 20 in the corner or redish color that everybody notices.
In summary if the crypto could be pretty it would have a better chance of being implemented.
Heh, you're right they would probably make a mess of it. It would be far easier and less risky to make passports shiny than implement crypto.

It would never have popular support. Many people don't have a clue about crypto and this would mean nothing to them. Look at air port screening. Everybody here knows it's bullshit but it makes the clueless feel safer. Each flight attendant would be made to hold a yellow balloon the entire flight if it made people feel safer.
Alarmist? I don't think they were trying to be. The point of the project is to get people to pay attention, if even for a minute, and recognize that there are some big stories they likely haven't heard about. Project Censored uses a bit of marketing. Gotta admit it's certainly more catchy than Project Underreported, eh? Same thing with the top 25. People take to top lists (just look at Letterman) as well. Once again it's a bit of marketing. Project Censored is volunteer too. They don't have a large staff and have to keep things manageable.
Disclaimer: I went to SSU and almost worked for Project Censored (sadly lacking the time)

SSU should have been phased out of that by now. I'm not sure however.

Thanks. I have tried all the versions of unrar available. Do I instead have to install rar and not unrar for this?

I'm sure no Paedo would give a kid such a toy...
I feel as though I've turned on Access Hollywood.

The title actually made me initially think that Nintendo had trademarked the concept of prompt speculation :P
Maybe it was cry for help.
SBC did as well. I thought about changing, but I had no other options at the time.

:) Thanks.
I don't remember where I picked the code, but I'll test your improvements

Only when I can't get the device working or I want to fully understand what can be done with it.
MS: Both a crippling disease and a crippling software company!

Competition, Security, Freedom. Pick any two.
