More people are realizing that a smartwatch is a better investment; it can do a lot more than just fitness tracking.

We need another world war to destroy some infrastructure and kill off some people. It needs to be hand to hand combat though, like WW II, not nukes. This will boost jobs, increase spending and reduce unemployment.

I think they are already too late. Apple has set the bar very high (battery life aside) and I doubt Apple will help Swatch interface with ios.
