    being overweight gives you a greater chance of having diseases like high blood pressure and cholesterol which in turn lead to heart attacks... you can be a lightweight and still have high blood pressure and cholesterol and keel over if all you're eating are twinkies and pork rinds

    I can see a $499 Mac Mini filling the needs of a lot of government agencies. And it's immunity to viruses and spyware is a big bonus.

    Well I mean we're talking about the gov't right? the people who spend $1000 for a hammer and a set of screwdrivers... they might even be able to afford the $599 version but they can definitely afford the mouse and keyboard and monitor

    ...maybe they'll choose MacOSX I mean even according to Thurrott you'll see that Tiger is one impressive cat and besides, MacOSX is "slightly" more secure than Windows

    I'd say the bigger problem (other than sterility) would be affecting the telomerase inside the cells of your stomach and bone marrow (not to mention hair) which are constantly reproducing and need a certain amount of telomerase activity to replicate. Shortly after being cured of cancer you'd die of starvation. (assuming a bone marrow transplant can replace your lost marrow)

    It's not what the judge understands, it's more of how much the RIAA prolongs the legal battle. The RIAA has deep pockets and can outlast any competitor and in the end, you give up and let the RIAA win.

    I thought one of the plusses of DVRs was the ability to skip commercials, what use would this be at the Television Bureau of Advertising's annual research symposium. If I had a DVR I'd skip all the commercials and get my daily dose of advertising through /. banners and such
