    Fake? Please stop talking about someone else's work of which clearly you have no technical experience. These pink clouds are often seen in Australia in the late evening.
    I have photographed far more extreme pink rainbow clouds in Australia see blog https://mattlamb2001.wordpress... .
    Where we point our cameras has more affect on the image than any post processing or printing side effects

    When your main product "advertising" is being sold at lower and lower prices in order to maintain income then a simple graph will show where the point arrives that cost of overheads meet a break even point.

    I hate advertising on mobile and as tech goes even smaller and less obvious and more useful the advertising market will have to go elsewhere.

    Googles self driving cars had better work out and stand above others in the same race, Toyota, Volvo etc

    Expectation of privacy in E-Mail should be a law.

    If the court wants my mail with a warrant the only place it should exist is in my home or device not on a mail server third party.

    We need digital envelopes for "our" mail. When was the last time the post office received a warrant for your mail?

    Yep its really easy, just place "TM" symbol after or next to your domain name on your website.
    You can also go the whole hog and legalize it but free is good and will stand up in a court very strongly.

    Seems like they have very little competition when compared to newspapers, which maybe why newspapers are not able to charge for there websites.
    Perhaps if newspapers were more of a social service like CSR and not pandering to the advertising industry and cutting stuff to the point where news is not researched but gathered from often dubious sources and repeated in every news source as if it was factual.

    The fossils clearly show evoulution was and is occuring in all species.
    Religion clearly shows interferance with this evolution(maybe more mental than physical?).

    God (or someone) appears to have contacted humans and informed them about a lot of good stuff (see "book of Enoch" which predates the bible and is repeated in dead sea scrolls).

    This infomation was adopted like the cargo cults and has been held onto with complete faith in a higher being. seems ok with me they had the contact with a clearly higher inteligence and were very much helped by them.

    Todays issue appears to be accepting both events happend and using science to prove evolution and the events that turned nice hunter gathers who killed to eat into manic religous people that now kill to prove there point.

    Just shows to me that captain Kirk was right to hold firm on the non-interference thingy.

    I work for the Vancouver Island newspaper (TC) and we ran this in yesterdays newspaper, so yes slashdot may reach further but the locals saw this a good 48hrs prior.

    Just use another astroid to smack into the problem one, just like playing pool. We can place decent rockets/nuke engines on a number of astroids that already have a decent kinetic enrgy and just steer them into the offending one.

    just be sure you don't snooker yourself.

    Far more useful is "cuphone", it will forward skype calls from your computer to any number even your cell. Never miss a skype call !

    Its about time the really big polluters were stopped!

    I personally feel that Volcanoes in Hawaii and mainland USA ie Mt St Helens(not to mention the rest of the world)should be forced to stop spweing out airborne particulate at a rate that makes man-made efforts look like fairy dust.

    Mind you they have not been to bad in the last 50years so it will be a bit of a shock when they go back to a more active pattern in the next 100-500yrs.

    yes they spew out chemicals (long list) as well as ash...

    Oh ya, and if I get one Sat phone bill instead of cell and cable bill and get mobile internet at high speed ill be 1st in line. (somthing like 90% of Canada is out of reach of cell phones my house included)

    ok so the sat phones not cheap but for some people roaming charges can really add up . I f I take my Canadian phone south across the largest free trade border in the world I can pay $1.00 - $2.50 per minute compared with sat phone prepaid (valid for one year) at .55c per minute ! Plus Data rates are on your airtime instead of by the MB as with GSM etc.

    one more price & size drop on sat phones and Ill be chucking my cell phone.

    Hey, if everyone switches to Apple computers think of the power saving across the world !
    (Macs use 25-35 % less power on most machines due to lower power draw on the CPU)

    Maybe the goverment should subsidize buying Macintosh computers...

    My Server is staying on 9.2.2 for good reasons and number one is I can sleep without worrying.. and its easier to maintain and has crashed only 2-3 times in 2 years. (application problems not system)
    My Laptop is fine on OSX, but of course does not like networking very often...(G3 Lombard) sigh...
