I think that you're forgetting that the actual question is "What do you get if you multiply 6 by 9". Definitely something fundamentally wrong with the universe...
As anyone who has read Good Omens should know, a major cause of the worst traffic jams is demonic influence in the planning and contruction of roads.
The prime example is the M25 motorway around London, which, due to the work of a certain demon, actually forms the shape of the dreaded sigil Odegra of the ancient black priesthood of Mu (The meaning of the sigil is 'Hail the great beast, devourer of worlds'). The movement of the traffic around the motorway works in much the same way as a prayer wheel, with the added bonus of feeding back its negative energy onto itself in the creation of traffic jams.
If you use Camino then get hold of the CamiTools pref pane http://pimpmycamino.com/parts/camitools. It adds a gui for a lot of useful preferences and just happens to have an ad blocker section...
I've been using Camino as my main browser for the past two years and CamiTools for most of that time - my favorite feature of Camino is the Keychain integration - avoids adding another browser password manager to my system...
Just ensure the copy to library (or keep library organized) option is enabled in the iTunes preferences and then just drag and drop the folder or files into iTunes... The files will be automatically be copied to the library...
...it was a typical case of American blind justice,... the judge wasn't going to look at the twenty seven eight-by-ten colour glossy pictures with the circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one 'splainin' what each one was to be used as evidence against us. And we was fined $50 and had to clean the malware off the PC in the snow...
Diebold seem to feel that they have a responsibility to make reasonably secure, transaction trackable ATMs so while the adding features is a hassle, the general security/operation of the machines isn't too bad...
It's a shame that they can't be bothered to make their voting machines as secure/tamperproof... (I guess there just isn't the same quality control pressure as the financial services place on them)
A bribe? If your former boss owned a newspaper and company X offered him money to place their advertisement in his paper, even though the ad was for a product neither he nor his customers wanted, would that offer be considered a bribe? The agreements we are talking about here do not involve any sort of violence or fraud. The negative connotation of the word "bribe" does not apply here.
Completely missing the point here. If someone placed an ad and then tried to pay the newspaper owner to not accept ads from their competitors then that would be the situation the GP poster was referring to.
It would be a bribe.
There is nothing wrong with the idea that you presented as the owner would be making money off of something that made no difference to the customers - ie. it would not negatively impact the customer's ability to see/buy from other ads that they were interested in.
Some of the best lecturers that I had when I was an undergrad didn't provide any lecture notes at all.
This was only a few years ago and noone took it for granted that they were going to get given a set of notes after any particular lecture. One part of this was that everyone learnt how to take notes in a form that worked for them rather than relying on having some printed out powerpoint slides.
Notes were a nice addition to a lecture series and were useful for revision and adding to taken notes but they were just that - something extra that was not needed or expected, but did make life a little easier.
(I did my undergrad degree in the UK as well)...
This lecturer is not just putting some powerpoint slides up on the web - he seems to be recording, cleaning up and then providing the lectures in audio form which would require some addition time. Since this is not part of the standard job description then I have nothing against some money being made off of this... (Although in my experience one or two people would buy it and then copies would be made for everyone else).
I use my inbox as a spam-trap. I have filters that automatically route anything to a valid email address to a specific folder (depends on the address) and so anything that is remaining in the inbox should be spam that has slipped through the spam filters.
This tends to be 5-10 messages a day (filters low to avoid false positives) and maybe once a month or so I get a real email that remains in the inbox.
I currently have about 50-70,000 emails in my mail client with another 250,000 archived...
Trying to work out if this was a troll, but pdf warning after a link just makes sure that people know that they are about to open/download a pdf rather than going to another web page...
Trademe in New Zealand has an option to auto-extend the auction if a bid is received in the last two minutes of bidding. This isn't always used but when it is, it does make a difference.
Snipers are forced to bid just outside the two minute mark which then gives other people a chance to respond if they want...
Your Pentium has a heating problem - try cooling it with ice cold water.(Do not turn of your computer, you do not want to cool down the Pentium Chip while he isn't working, do you?)
Sounds like they're just after some cash from a quick settlement... They probably know thier patent is crap but if they can get some cash out of skype then it makes this process worthwhile...
The Sinclair C5 was absolutely brilliant. As long as you didn't try to use it as a serious method of transport then it was great fun... Especially downhill and offroad;->

Encryption aside, there are Windows and Linux HFS+ drivers (both free and commercial) so getting at the data isn't really a valid point here...
