Used airbnb a number of times, and only once there was a slight problem. I let a quite negative review which has been published. And if you search a bit more, you’ll find negative reviews. So what you say is questionable. The reason why there are less negative reviews is thanks to the many identity and other proofs that are requested to subscribe - and people, hosts and guests, tend to behave honestly not to get a bad review. Of course, some scam and other bigger problems happen, which are always largely publicized (hotel lobbies are probably helping). But take the number of rooms rent per day, compare that to the number of real problems - the ratio bad/good is infinitesimal. I travelled a lot also, and I’ve been -on average - way more satisfied with airbnb than with hotels.
They killed this product when they released the iPhone 7 without a headphone jack.
That's probably why Apple wants to make their own headphones, that truly compete with jack connected devices, and to be plugged via the lightning connector (or BT).
Actually me too. Slashdot format (including the geeky gray design) and the tone (comments) contribute to make the site a closed club that keeps providing insightful comments that would not appear somewhere else - or anyway would not stand out the way it does here - from more "mature" people. Of course a bunch of ACs bring a few trolls here and there - which usually don't live (show) long - but this is the price to pay to allow anonymous comments (which are necessary!). And, that's hard to admit (for some reasons), but slashdot is (still) unique!
Actually, I've been coming to/. from even more than that - and even had a 6 dig id... unfortunately, gave out the domain to which the email was attached, and the password doesn't seem to work anymore.
So you say that, technically, these emojis are a technical feat. Sure. But seriously Apple and now Samsung making a top selling point out if it?
Don't think it'll have a deep impact on most users lives, phone wise...
"shot over just two weeks - way shorter than the months a movie usually takes"... why shooting on an iPhone would reduce dramatically the time it takes to release a movie? Most pro video cameras are digital anyway. Doesn't really make sense.
Compared to the iPhone 8+ or the latest Samsung, is the X really expensive? A bit more, yes, but not that much.
I considered purchasing the X, and would have given the money would it be worth it. But I didn't think it is. Not impressed by Oled, didn't like its width, nor the "notch" ; didn't care at all about the moving smilies, and prefer fingerprints to face recognition...

I was hoping to see inside Uranus
Well, if Uranus internals looks like Jupiters find a physician near you.
For a much better level of Jupiter photography, you have to wait until 1979, when Voyager 2 is to be around.
I can't wait to plug one into my headphone jack.
You need a hammer for that.
Any *noise cancellation* device recommendation?

and they'll all have jack connectors

That reminds me of Multics
Time to get a raise!

Well, I'm a big fan of Whiplash (the movie) and Slash (the guitarist) ; so Whipslash is an happy agglomerate of the two + editor... nice!
Will the new version be a complete rewrite - or are you sticking to Perl?
Someone got the current date on a Nokia phone: Apr 1, 2018.
Or that!

Just wow. I really hope these motherfuckers have a good view of each other when they're burning in hell.
They're a bunch of stupid fanatics, sure, but unfortunately not stupid enough to believe in 'hell'.

Wide angle all along, washed ambient colors, the trailer shows that images are not as pleasing as with a bigger camera.
That's probably the used-in-movie meaning. Think "returns".
Have 37.2 TB available.
Probably because the robot moves really look like the ones of a real dog...
James Cameron is a great visionary.
Personally, I don't want a thousand dollar phone

What about the 9753 other less publicized yet very annoying iOS bugs?
