And since you are a geek, be sure to check out Star Trek: The Experience. That is a great ride in which you get to visit the Enterprise!

Also, see the Blue Man Group show if you have time. It makes a statement about technology, information, and other stuff. Plus, the music rocks!

No, I think it was a good game. I just had never seen him so close (like I said, he is normally courtside).

The people behind me were wondering who I was taking a picture of, I told them it was Steve Ballmer of Microsoft. If they knew who it was, I don't think they would be freaked.

I was a little nervous about taking a bunch of pictures of him, which is why I did it discreetly. For example, the shots where you can see down the whole row, I had the camera resting on my leg as to be inconspicuous.

I did take a lot of pictures of the cheerleaders over the course of the season, but those aren't on my website :).

  9. I think he needed the money..for basketball ticket on Ballmer Sells Part of his Stake in Microsoft · · Score: 1

Normally I would see Ballmer sitting courtside. However, later in the season I saw him sitting in my row I think it is obvious that he sold his shares so he could get more courtside seats. :)

Whenever I can't find a song/artist/album that I want, then I submit it to the request thing. However, I am kind of suspect about them reviewing it. Since it is so open ended, they can't just take all the names and get a top ten list. For example:

    Weird Al
    "Weird Al"
    Weird Al Yankovic
    "Weird Al" Yankovic

All of these are requesting Weird Al music, but they would be put in seperate entries if a basic script was used to track popular artists. I hope this makes sense.

  12. my experience on Review of iTunes Music Store · · Score: 1

I downloaded iTunes 4 and started exploring the music store as soon as I got home on Monday. When I confirmed with my parents that I was allowed to use the service, I created my iTMS (iTunes Music Store) account with no problems (I already had an account at the Apple store).

The first day the searches were _very_ slow, but I blame that on the initial surge of users. It has gotten better now and they are quite quick.

I don't mind the AAC format because most of the songs I download are the only ones I want from the CD. I think it is worth $.99 and the lower quality of the AAC format to get a single song, worth more than paying $15 for a higher quality CD with only one song I want.

So far I have bought 11 songs. Most of these songs I had previously downloaded from Napster, Gnucleus, or Kazaa. I have also found some other songs that I have heard before, but didn't know the name of, and bought them (Steve Jobs' presentation introduced me to a few :) ).

However, they still need to increase their library. They don't have any Weird Al or Blue Man Group! I hope they are able to quickly increase the library size and I also hope it comes out for Windows sooner rather than later. Not sure when when, if ever, it would come out for other countries, but hopefully they can get that working.

    Go Apple!

Why would you need much internet bandwidth? All the game servers are local and I am sure you could find all the p0rn and warez ever created on the local network. The only reason you would need an internet connection for is checking e-mail and web surfing. If 9/10 people are busy crawling the LAN for p0rn or playing local games, then each person actually using the internet gets 2 mpbs.

Actually, in the Anandtech review, the 3000+ Barton didn't beat the 3.06 Intel in most test. It did in some, but in most it was slightly behind. In tests that make use of SSE2, the Athlon was spanked.

Plus, I don't think this is embarrasing for Intel. Their plan from the start was to make a worse performer/clock, but then to ramp up the clock speed. This possibly was an attempt get customers based just on clock speed, or it could be because they believed they could get more performance than a processor with a smaller pipeline.

    Ooops, should have used preview.

However, it has actually helped some people see the light (Mozilla). One of my best friends is a big fan of Microsoft and he uses Mozilla as much as IE (a huge victory in my opinion, he normally discredits open source). Another friend download Moz after he couldn't get to my website and says he loves it. The problem isn't that people love IE, it is that they don't know of any alternatives.
