    If a flash or advert slow down your connection, you should switch ASAP your ISP...
    Or you might want to invest in some Avian carrier, they can transfert 4gb faster than slow ISP.

    Compare a dead-tree version versus a website

    Both have some formatting, text and everything.
    But the dead-tree version have more cost associated with it, mainly the material used (paper, ink, staples or glue), the cost of the transportation.

    Displaying a web page cost practically nothing.

    If you wanted a dead-tree news without ads, it would probably cost a lot more.

    they'll pass the invoice to the costumer, don't worry with that.

    Yes, they'll have a good network, but the price will be twice what you could expect in other country for a contract, with the 3 years signup, and all the bullshit they can include to milk their customers.

    Hum, my previous game where 500 mb in size... maybe 1gb. then they got to 2gb then 3, then 5 and now 10gb (or more sometimes but I don't play a lot of game anymore)

    I strongly disagree, games do get bigger, with more texture, more stuff inside, etc.

    Movie and music on the other hand are about the same size. a 5mb mp3 is standard, a 700mb movie too (unless you want a DVDrip with all the (most of the time useless) features)

    It's ok, it was part of their scheme to have some funding back in the old day. They didn't know the magic word "Nano". They'll learn it fast when they need more fund. Watch for Swarming solar-powered nanorobot in a close future.
