  4. Solution on 'Weekly Episodes' Coming To Star Trek Online · · Score: 3, Insightful

Assuming the budget is big enough, you have a set of development teams working on a cycle of independent episodes.

e.g if you have 4 or 5 teams, each team only has to release one episode per month.

I would also presume that the MMO already has the generalised rules for handling quests built in, so its a matter of generating a scenario within the MMO, not coding the MMO itself

  10. The right way on No iPhone Apps, Please — We're British · · Score: 1

If the government had gone about this the right way, it would have provided a phone independent API to its services, so that iPhone, Android, Symbian (any any other) developers could produce applications to access those services. That way it could have got its tools without paying for them. It makes you wonder whether any of Infoworlds investers have their fingers in the gravy train....

The Register points out that in other news, the Government has spend £35million ($50million) on developing a single website see:

A fence actually handles the stolen goods. The Spanish court decision seems to be partially on the basis that a tracker never handles anything.

Lets consider A who says to tracker X 'I have goods G' .

Tracker T simply tells potential buyer B that A has G. T has no knowledge of whether A has legal title to G.

It is no different from a newspaper advert placed by A. The newspaper is not responsible for determining whether A has the goods legally or not, and therefore neither should a tracker
