Now this is a cool and useful thing. It would be cool to have something like this in the home so I could use it as a monitor. If the main unit was hidden with a drop down keyboard. Well hidden PC:)
Have the problem with the SCO lawsuit is that FUD they are spreading. Even if they don't have a case to stand on an IT manager will just here. SCO suing people over Linux therefor something is wrong with Linux.
Prehaps SCO want to be bought out by Microsoft as they are doing more damage than MS ever has even with the halloween documents
I agree here. We know your heart is in the right place but other people might not see it like that. ASs long as yo udon't care about the fame and the glory just make them aware of it then move onto something else
Using thie technology its only accurate to 100m or so. Now if you are meant to be in an area then its great for your boss to see it. However if you are trying to track a stolen phone then how annoying is that going to be?
Yes electronic voting seems like a good idea but will it allow people to vote online from homes securly proving there ID? That might be the only way to reverse the trend of lower voter turnout
From expierence I suggest a Windows 98 disk as this can boot to a Dos Ram Disk, also W2K and XP. For hardware flat head, phillps screwdriver, anti-static wrist strap and needle nose pliers. Also knoppix as others have suggested
Of course if the do a build, kill it half way through then build it again with out make clean it will go even quicker. Not saying they did but stats can always be taken two ways
Does anyone know if the bug where 2.6 can't mount an XFS route fs is still there. Lots of things I want to try but last time it just hung on boot trying to mount rootfs fs as UDF?!
Now this might be a stupid question but using this would it be possible to have say two pages imposed on one so you could "read" a book by twisting the page...
Well surprising it is especially to check out spammers to see if they have a history before they signup for account. Of course groups.google.com makes it all nice and easy to search
Like all business they made mistakes when tyring something new. However on their core business they have provided a wide spread, realtivly easy to use concurrent platform with Office + Windows. If you look at all OSS office sweets etc they all at least try to read/write M$ Office as it is a standard. Not saying its a good one but its a standard
Bob in Marketing can send Maggie in Accounts a spreadsheet and be able to read it. Thats gotta count for something
I would of like to ideally of seen this as wireless. Say for example I have my HiFI and I want to wear headphone which have a built in Mic. Surely with Bluetooth or 802.11b I could of walked around/out of those host listening to my streaming music collection. Also if I'm on a mobile it ringing could cause other sounds to cut out
If I want a different drink? Can it send that. Now what would be cool if there was a touch screen I could order at. Of course if drunk all this technology becomes a bit pointless as I would be shouting at the wall anyway
Unfortunatly test-1 had a problem that if you had an XFS root fs it didn't mount. Firstly it tried mounting as UFS then Resier. Haven't seen ins -test2 has fixed it
Wonder if you could freeze the fog to make it into a solid screen...

Everything else is going toward POSIX compliance, even NT4 can be made POSIX compliance so why go the other way? Just to be different?
