  1. Re:Very Realistic on On FPS Sniping And The Ruination Of Gameplay · · Score: 1

Actually, a rifle is easier, at least in the recoil part.

Newton saw that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

The bullet speeds out of the gun with a certain energy; that same energy pushes the gun back. If the gun had the same mass as the bullet, they would both leave the area at the same speed.

But a rifle weighs many many times more than the bullet, so it doesn't move as much. Try it some day. My little .22 pistol has more recoil than my .30 carbine.

This is actually much worse. First off, credit card companies usually forbid accepting cards without a signature (though many ignore this rule), and it is much easier to fake an ID than fake a signature. I'll just print an ID with my picture and your name.

Your best protection is the fact that the credit card companies will eat the cost of some fraud to keep the money flowing. Federal law limits your liability to $50, and most if not all credit cards waive that $50.

  16. Re:Is Lego even alive? on Inside the Lego Master Builder Search · · Score: 1

The very early Lego (manufactured in the US by Samsonite) was made from Cellulose Acetate. I have some, and certain pieces are very difficult to get togther, and others are so brittle they will snap. Back then, and even after Lego changed to ABS, the colors were partially made by using different mixes of plastics. This caused the bricks to age differently for different colors.

Since then, the formula has been improved so that the bricks last a very long time.
