Well the point is that once you get the XBox to do normal PC things, what you have is a really cheap multimedia PC. So it kinda makes sense.

And you know what? Screw them all.

A woman who dates me can expect my love, care, loyality, dedication, and so on. But she can not expect anything of the above. I share what I have, I give when I can, but I do so because I feel like doing it and not because if it's expected of me. I dislike birthdays and christmas for the same reason. It's "mandatory" to get the person a gift. I hate that.

Yes, as long as you don't wait too long. Granted, it has slowed down a bit, but there was this story about nasa losing data faster than they were able to copy it to modern media. (I'm too lazy to look, you do it.)

That said I agree that an electronic archive would be great. If nothing else, it makes the collection so much more accessible. But don't ruin the originals for it.

If there's a demand for these services, the customers will bug their ISPs big time about it. I don't see any reason why the portals should pay up. In fact it could be argued exactly the other way around: If it wasn't for the big portals, all those ISPs woul be out of business because nobody needs an internet line if there's no content.

  14. DMCA Database on HP Uses DMCA To Quash Vulnerability Publication · · Score: 1

We need a DMCA database that lists companies who invoked / threatened with the DMCA, and specifics about it. That way, we could simply query whom to boycott. Sort of like ORBS for DMCA Companies. (We do need to have the details listed for every case because the dmca might be invoked in legitimate cases like software piracy, too.)

'Flying Saucers' were NEVER seen until one report back in the 60s got quite widespread. Then everyone reported seeing them everywhere.

Well, you could argue that the simple reason is that this was the time the aliens landed. Not that I will believe this until someone proves that aliens actually are here.

By the way, the first (widely publized) report IIRC was by this US fighter pilot at Mt Rainier; he was the one who coined the term Flying Saucers. I think this was in 1947 or 1945. (Try google, I am too lazy. ;)
