Remember to use the Bittorrent links for those who want to download the whole thing in one go.
Now that this is the next day, I can tell you that the bittorrent file circulating is WITHOUT the last chapter, so no, it isn't the whole thing. The brokensaints site has a handy link to download the last chapter. Without the flash editor there's no updating the menus included in the bittorrent so the last chapter must be viewed independently.
If you sign up for the 'Do-not-call' list you probably don't buy anything from a telemarketer in the first place
No, actually, a lot of people are desperate to sign up for no-call lists because they're incabable of saying 'no' when some stranger calls at random and asks for money.
What do you mean? The specs clearly list two PCCard slots, four USB2 ports, and a Firewire port. A wide variety of 802.11 and Bluetooth devices can be plugged into those interfaces.
Why do PC Notebook components require 3 extra lbs!??
I'll tell you why; look at the specs. This isn't a Centrino or even mobile P4. This appears to be the full bore desktop edition 2.8Ghz Hyperthreading P4. Tthe difference in weight is obviously the CPU heatsink.
Ah, slashdot business calculations! Sorry, do the math, please: Microsoft will provide software for 494,000 Army computers during the next six years Six years is 24 quarters. $471 million / 24 = $19.6 million per quarter on average. MSFT revenue in the last four quarters averaged $7.8 billion (http://biz.yahoo.com/fin/l/m/msft.html). Meaning this contract represents.25% of revenue, that's a quarter of one percent, a piddly amount of the big picture. /businessmathlesson

as the decision to hire younger (and typically cheaper) employees
This cost decision often blows up in your face. On my favorite tech support coop board I've been following the adventures of a swaggering 20 year old tech school grad whose project was to upgrade the two disks in the small company server. So far, it's taken a week of misadventures that I'm sure bogged down work as the kid removed the NT PDC from the domain, resorted to upgrading it to 2K to get it back on, and lost everyone's Outlook files in the process. Companies with the 'hire the new kid' mentality will not be as competitive as the 'hire the experienced older person' companies. Sure, they got this kid for $33K but they've had to pay a consultant already to pull him out of the fire he started.
Well, I suggest you read The Enchiridion by St. Augustine as your definition of evil has several large holes hiding right below the surface. Evil is a necessary thing to showcase good. For fun, please also read Brave New World by Huxley for an analysis of what good is like when there is no bad to compare.
He is somehow 'above' the petty, earthly issues of the dark lord and the one ring
This is because he is a Druidic figure who believes in balance between good and evil. Unlike the good guys who want to do away with evil and the bad guys who want to do away with good. Instead, Tom sees that the fight is pretty well balanced (despite an advantage on paper for the evil side). After all, good and bad can't exist without the other to compare against.
It seems from reading the article that the copier does NOT play chess. The copier inputs the positions into the computer, which then plays chess.
While you can buy pressure sensitive boards to attach to the computer, these are pretty expensive. It's a lot easier to play chess on a real board instead of the screen. Notice that when grandmasters play computers there is a person who runs the computer and moves the pieces. So overall, this is a pretty cool hack if you happen to be a serious chess player who also has a sufficient copier already sitting around.
What really makes them mad is when you tell them it is illegal to copy Microsoft as many times as they want
I don't get this at all. In fact, quite the opposite. In my example, they want 7 server licenses for the workstations in addition to the 2003 AS. When I try to explain that additional licenses are for Terminal Services and other advanced options and not at all needed for file sharing, they argue with me.
and my job is getting donated computers to other nonprofit agencies. I can tell you that not only do ALL of agencies to which I give computers demanding the latest MS software, they have not heard of, nor are the LEAST bit interested in, any other software. They know absolutely nothing other than what 'one of our volunteers told us...' Which is usually something like putting Windows2003 Advanced Server on a single CPU machine for a 7 workstation file sharer. But anyway, no, no one in the nonprofit sector wants anything but Microsoft. You can argue that it's because MS gives it away for free or that they don't know any better; I can't tell.

You don't need a religion to do this. Nothing is stopping you from printing up Swordboy Bucks by the truckload. The trick is getting other people to accept them. Only the federal reserve is authorized to print legal tender. So Swordboy Bucks (or any other private currency) is unlikely to be accepted.
pretty soon automakers will start using the DMCA to keep you from repairing your car yourself
No, none of the automakers directly own any dealerships or repair centers. They only care about maintaining a paper trail to minimize warranty repair costs, not to milk you for shop fees. The dealers and repair shop owners who would care about this are not cohesively organized enough to lobby for such a car-DMCA.

It's not privately owned, it's publicly traded: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=ebay And yes, there is a big difference.

There's no 'if' to it. My local Clearchannel radio station has been carrying ads for exactly this lately.
