    Most of the software will return the version with the --version option.

    I know i've never consiously used kerberos. But for all i know my linux distribution installed kerberos as part of another package

    Your linux distribution installs only the library of kerberos, that is not affected.

    Notice windows isn't easy enough for many people, but, with some help, they do use it.

    Instead of block, a good alternative is to install viralator
    in a linux with squid.
    Viralator calls the antivirus from the web proxy when a file is downloaded,
    if it's clean the user can download it.

    Barcelona is a nice place to live.

    In winter we have the Pirynees and Andorra, 1 hour by car and you're skiing in pretty good mountains.
    In the summer I go to the beach, in the city there is a decent one, and there are a lot of nice
    villages around with nice seaside.

    In the city there is a lot of things to do, restaurants are excellent. Most of the movie theaters show the pictures in spanish, but there are some that don't translate the movies. Then you can go to dance till 4am or more if you want. There are many streets prepared for skating and biking. I know some people who go to work by bike.

    About the language it's important to know spanish, though I've worked with consultants who came for short projects who only spoke english and it was ok. It depends of the kind of work you do. Most of the people in the city only speak spanish, but some words in english.

    Everybody that tries to loose weight succeded more or less.
    The big problem is not to gain this weight again.
    The fastest you loose the fastest you gain again, so I'd
    advise do it little by little. Stay away from yo-yo effects
    and in the end change your habits:
    • Eat more times a day (4-5) and eat less in every meal.
    • Do some sport 2-3 days a week
    Having the willpower to do this is the hardest part.

    The best protection is install the antivirus in the server. Most antivirus apps can run in linux.

    amavis
    will call the antivirus from postfix ,sendmail and others.

    viralator
    scan the files downloaded with the web proxy squid

    Both are worth install.

    The Spanish Talgo is in the works and will do 350 kph (218 mph).

    Currently Spain has AVE from Madrid to Seville. Madrid - Barcelona and others are scheduled.

    A history teacher I once took some courses from in High School (Military History and US History) subscribed to an interesting theory; The fall of Russian Communism resulted from McDonalds.

    This is naive. Russia fell because of cultural leaks. One example are movies showing the way of live in western countries.

    I work daily with Linux and Solaris and I must say that Solaris boxes come with very few software installed compared to linux.


    When I finish the installation of a Solaris box I spend many hours installing by hand things so it's
    more like linux. So it's easier to work with.



    We're lucky there are things like sunfreeware




    Recently, one of my co-workers, who only had used linux, had to install a Solaris box. He couldn't believe it was so bare-bones. At last even the user of the host decided he prefered linux in the Sparc !




    Sun's move is towards have these linux tools handy and should bring a more complete solaris installation.
