  1. Allowing People to Buy? on It Took a Couple Decades, But the Music Business Looks Like It's Okay Again (recode.net) · · Score: 1

Wait a second... So if you allow people to conveniently buy music in a format they'll actually use, they'll buy it? That's insane! Who could have thought that would happen?

  2. Not Officially on An Asteroid Has Been Named After Freddie Mercury (vice.com) · · Score: 1

The Martians never agreed to this.

  3. Too many unnecessary warnings on People Ignore Software Security Warnings Up To 90% of the Time, Says Study (phys.org) · · Score: 1

This wasn’t a case of hackers breaching our security systems, rather it was our mistake of leaving volunteer email addresses accessible via the web browser.

In other words, someone used the "View Source" command?

  8. Do you want the Work or the Stuff? on Would You Bet Against Sex Robots? AI 'Could Leave Half Of World Unemployed' · · Score: 1

Do we really want to work on an assembly line or do we want the goods that come off the end? Right now our problem is deciding who's going to do all the work creating goods and services for the non-working class. When robots create everything, the question becomes how to distribute the final product. This is a much easier and more pleasant problem to solve.

And recruiters will demand five years of Swift 3 on their mandatory qualifications lists, as they do with Swift 2 right now.

Can someone explain to me why they do this? I can understand five years of Swift with OpenStack, but not Apple Swift.

Too much of the modern world sounds like a wacky conspiracy theory.

    > They speak about coding, but you don't see anyone really coding

Yeah, I'm about 17 minutes in and don't see any code yet. If they're actually programming and not using some sort of app construction set, then this movie is a disservice to the girls. Let them show off their skills!
