By destroying their sources of fit lumber the ability to build proper barrels for maritime use was compromised. Sailors in the Spanish navy ate worse food than usual, their alcohol and water supplies were shaky at best as the barrels tended to leak on the slightest excuse. But best of all their black powder was damp and performed poorly due to the bad barrels.
Another confounding problem was the lack of familiarity with currents and conditions in and near the English channel as well as the Spanish ships lack of manuverability when compared to English vessels.
It is sad that our laws do not permit you to strangle these bosses. But somehow I would love to see you document that threat and sue them into total bankruptcy.
Quite a few employers see employees only as some sort of slaves deserving of misuse. Turn the tables on them if you can.

How long will it take to make absolute our right to free speech. In this case a local judge, now found to be a crook, has sentenced a young person for the high crime of satire. Satire is not harassment. The only way to stop these violations of free speech is to stop these cases well before they appear in court. In other words no case involving speech should ever be allowed in a court of law.
This is evidence that Microsoft really is stupid or suffering from a massive brain tumor. How many people want to buy a crippled OS? Vista was bad enough and now we see this new crap being spewed. Microsoft may be too dumb to save.

It's the right time to develop torrent protocols that are multi source and multinational in such a way that individual governments can do nothing to disrupt them. We also need to protect those less able at computing by using untraceable ISPs and encrypted methods of delivery such that no accusation of infringement can be made.
So it's a call to white hats, black hats, gray hats and people who just love freedom to get busy, write the code and get it into the hands of just about everyone. Keep in mind that everyone from kiddies to grandmas like to download so stupid-simple interaction with such torrent systems is the right way to build.
I don't know a thing about law in Sweden but the notion that a verdict can or should be issued with regard top effects upon society is unfair and totally contrary to American law. Whether the effect of a not guilty verdict is negative or not should not in any way influence the verdict.

I'll bet money that our government has spying code built into official Windows copies as well as pirated versions. It was actually to our strategic benefit that Cuba continued to use proprietary software.
Hiding spy like code within Linux distros will be far more difficult as the OS is transparent.
We can only hope that people are running a lot of proprietary games or other software in which our codes can do their thing in Cuba. We do know that in the past some very good espionage materials have been hidden within printers.
