    I agree that's why I love the MX518 I bought. It has sensitivity buttons above and below the wheel to get the twitch when you need it or precision when that's appropriate, like using a sniper rifle at a distance .

    Tinfoil should also work against realtime google earth, you just need to get the right angle for the sun.

    The number of WoW players that take it too far and let their real lives slide, if it's not a game it's the machines tricking the populace into hooking up permanently to power the matrix. For some it's WoW, for others it's /.

    Just make sure you unplug your microphone first.

    Having the motto 'Do no evil' makes me sure they won't do anything I wouldn't want after listening to my conversation. I know how seriously employees take their mottos, and wouldn't it be evil, to some, not to not take an opportunity to increase investors returns.

    I really want this to work at a higher level, 4 cores at 2007 standards and it might with the GPU just controlling the interface of games, if the GPU manufacturers don't respond (please do).

    I could be wrong but is it possible this could almost make it worse, if the blade starts to slow but is still moving it would give a much messier, jagged cut which might make re-attachment of fingers etc. a lot more difficult. !RTFA though.

    Yeah I'm sure ATI and nVidia aren't remotely interested in forcing a GPU jupgrade to support the features in the latest games. MS, ATI & nVidia move and the gaming world follows.

    That would have been amazing, I had a non-standard 640x400, 8 colour machine (NEC APC-3) which was ~80% IBM compatible with 320x200, 4 colours (CGA) when you ran the DOS emulator, but it had a small floppy drive, 5 1/4 " instead of the 8" the previous model had. But my Dads astronomy software was for the native OS so it was better for him than, an IBM compatible CGA machine.

I have contributed very little to the setup but all combined we are building some high tech bacteria. I wonder though, are we at any risk of our virus getting a virus?

    Slashdotters losing faith in the dot due to irritating use of popup ads. Of course the average user is only aware of it as Firefox has a little less screen real-estate due to the popup blocker bar at the top of the screen.

    The high price for a device that would increase the quality of life of the blind is to me a really good reason for governments to subsidise these for their citizens. I hear americas medical system is expensive and not well supported by government, but Australia has a pretty good record of supporting its citizens medically, this is another opportunity to offer better service than their american counterparts, hopefully america will catch up with their compassion.
