    I would guess that more people with an Xbox use XBL than people with ipods that purchase songs on Itunes. I have a sampling of about 5 people that I have actually met and all 5 + me use XBL, only 2 out of the 6 use itunes. In terms of revenue ... all 6 pay $50 a year for XBL so ....... the 2 that use itunes each have to buy 150 song to generate equal revenue ..... not sure what that means for each service but it would seem to me that XBL has better margins.

    Well ... it makes a difference because itunes it targeted at a more "general" market that XBL.

    Technically any employee is a risk, even when they aren't planning to leave ... companies do drug screens, credit checks, interviews, etc. to try to minimize the risk.

    Wrong, the same flaw exists in mechassault, a microsoft game, and I would bet my money on any game that uses MS's saved game API in the XDK. So I think it is MS's fault.

    To get a comparible video card would put you over the top, not to mention a dvd drive, plus few people can steal HD's and ram from work. Plus the xbox has a cheaply available remote, that is supported in linux.

    Those things are perfect $200 media servers. Even if it dies early from the hostile environment of a car, they are cheap to replace.

    The article makes it sound like this is to prevent those web pages that make themselves full screen and look just like a desktop, but honestly how often is this tactic even used?

    Considering there are currently no 65nm fabs in existence, these two will be the first, I doubt either of them do.

    What the hell are you talking about. Even if they "open sourced" the processor, how many open source developers do you know that have access to a 65nm Fab to play around with it.

    If your running distros with the "same stuff" installed mandrake should be faster than debian actually. Mandrake is compiled for i586, while debian offers kernels compiled for other cpus(as does mandrake) the rest of the stuff is compiled for i386 for debian if I'm not mistaken.

    I live in Grand Forks, ND. One of the few places in the country this is available to the consumer. I know someone who uses this as thier primary internet connection and they have no reliablility issues. The speed is decent but the ping could be better. For $60 bucks a month it would be worth it if you needed a decent wireless connection for a laptop. The modem is just a PC card.
