I would guess that more people with an Xbox use XBL than people with ipods that purchase songs on Itunes. I have a sampling of about 5 people that I have actually met and all 5 + me use XBL, only 2 out of the 6 use itunes. In terms of revenue... all 6 pay $50 a year for XBL so....... the 2 that use itunes each have to buy 150 song to generate equal revenue..... not sure what that means for each service but it would seem to me that XBL has better margins.
Technically any employee is a risk, even when they aren't planning to leave... companies do drug screens, credit checks, interviews, etc. to try to minimize the risk.
"There are flaws in the savegame handling of 007: Agent Under Fire (and various other games, not Microsoft's fault)."
Wrong, the same flaw exists in mechassault, a microsoft game, and I would bet my money on any game that uses MS's saved game API in the XDK. So I think it is MS's fault.
To get a comparible video card would put you over the top, not to mention a dvd drive, plus few people can steal HD's and ram from work. Plus the xbox has a cheaply available remote, that is supported in linux.
The article makes it sound like this is to prevent those web pages that make themselves full screen and look just like a desktop, but honestly how often is this tactic even used?
What the hell are you talking about. Even if they "open sourced" the processor, how many open source developers do you know that have access to a 65nm Fab to play around with it.

If your running distros with the "same stuff" installed mandrake should be faster than debian actually. Mandrake is compiled for i586, while debian offers kernels compiled for other cpus(as does mandrake) the rest of the stuff is compiled for i386 for debian if I'm not mistaken.
I live in Grand Forks, ND. One of the few places in the country this is available to the consumer. I know someone who uses this as thier primary internet connection and they have no reliablility issues. The speed is decent but the ping could be better. For $60 bucks a month it would be worth it if you needed a decent wireless connection for a laptop. The modem is just a PC card.
If you were trying to karma whore this was a bad idea. We all WANT the RIAA web site slashdotted. And btw you don't need to "mirror" the register, it never goes down from SD linking.

Can we also ignore downloads generated by a huge pepsi promotion?
Well ... it makes a difference because itunes it targeted at a more "general" market that XBL.

Nothing like moving, or living transiently for a few months to make your finacials seem out of the ordinary.
I think being "intimidately" involved in things will be my new goal. It sound very mobsteresq.
... I for one welcome our new digital overloards.

Convince the US government there are "weapons of mass destruction" and terrorists there. Oh ya, and oil. We'll be there by next Christmas.
and stay away from your kids. The human body has IIRC 20 trillion, give or take an order of magnitude, decay events a day.
Thats why you can't overload functions based on return values.

actually it has 64megs of ram. And its DDR ram.

Those things are perfect $200 media servers. Even if it dies early from the hostile environment of a car, they are cheap to replace.
"(we haven't gotten to doing this between architectures yet, mind you)"
Mabye you havn't heard of PVM or MPI.

Considering there are currently no 65nm fabs in existence, these two will be the first, I doubt either of them do.

You all need to read the article. These arn't clones in the PC clone sense. The will have apple made hardware, not knock off hardware.
He must have invented mozilla to celebrate.

no matter what the manual told you, you can't write 20MB/s.
