  1. Jazz enough? on What Jazz Records Would You Reccommend? · · Score: 1

Hard Normal Daddy by Squarepusher :-D *snicker*

  2. Descent... on Multiplayer Shooters For Modems And Slow PCs? · · Score: 1

Descent is an old game now, but it ran wonderfully over a modem. (At least on 2 player) It would barely lag if at all.

Since it's a Doom era game, it'll run on probably any computer anyone's running today.

    *shrug*

  3. Re:noooo on Final Fantasy - Crystal Chronicles GC Details · · Score: 1

The draw system really wasn't terrible. For one, it wasn't really that necessary to max out your spells. Not until, perhaps the end. It did get overbearing fairly quickly. Especially when you got all the characters.

It was a neat idea. It definately could've used work though.

  4. Re:Outlook on Final Fantasy - Crystal Chronicles GC Details · · Score: 1

Square games aren't just good for story. If you haven't, you should try Legend of Mana. Great game. It has a plot but it's not really plot driven.

I suggest this because I somewhat see this game being a bit like it.

    Just a thought. :) *shrug*

It isn't just you. There's probably not much that could really be considered original in the past 200 years. I think you're just taking it a little too hard. :)

Besides, new is not always better?

As for the whorish greed part and what not...no one's making money off this Unreal mod. I think it's probably just a bunch of guys who really loved marble madness and would like to see an up to date version. Can't say I blame them.

This deserves to be modded up simply because the poster didn't not that Irata was Atari spelled backwards.

I'm guessing he's decided peer-to-peer to eliminate the strange glitches that happen when a client goes out of sync for one reason.

This game seems to be intended to be more cinematic and what not, so it might be a better solution to keep the "world" more consistent.

    Maybe I'm wrong. *shrug* :)

I'm not very familiar with the details of PDF so I can't imagine any reason why any value referring to the number of pages in a work would have to be negative.

You'd think they'd at least use a 16 bit unsigned integer?

This ones really a quibble, but a subpoint of Fallacy 7 asks "How often do you need to do a Fourier transform?" I don't know if it's need per se, but I kind of like some of the music visualizations that use a whole bunch of frequency domain stuff.

It's very useful to anyone analyzing periodic data such as sound...but I doubt that you're average computer user uses (indirectly) it for anything other than really kewl visualizations for your mp3's :-D

What about Google.com's image searcher, which allows images from sites displayed in-frame? What if I want to include an image from your website in my site, but just that image, and in a specific place? Why should the efficiency of the net be hindered by having the same information stored in different places, when need not be? (Of course, some would argue this is a virtue, as redundancy reduces vulnerability to data-loss).
What if I didn't want you to use an image that I created or paid to have created for your purposes? What if I especially didn't want my bandwidth ate up serving the image to people for your purpose?

Do you complain about being required to cite your references when you take information from other people?

It doesn't matter if this printing press or whatever is a great technology, the clergy needs to feel superior to the congregation.

Isn't developing a free implementation of this wonderful technology that could make things work a lil better with each other something to be proud of?

It's probably good that someone is doing this. If (when?) everything goes .NET, and so many people feel they require .NET, Linux will still be able to cater to them.

I don't know that I'd agree with you about hip-hop outshining the electronica music. Both formats seem to suffer the same problem..alongside with rock. There's a few bright talents and then you have a million half-assed imitations. anyways, there's quite a bit of electronica that sounds the same, especially when you get into more popular trance and such. for some interesting electronica check out aphex twin, squarepusher, or mu-ziq (mu as in the greek letter). I guarantee you won't find it at all repetitive, although I admit you'd probably find mu-ziq the most accessible of the three.
