Someone should make an algo to calculate which stories will be duplicated later on. Each new story could be checked against a list of most likely to be duped.
So put all that superior-inferior crap where the sun doesn't shine (forgot where that was, somewhere between Lancre and Badass). That most certainly was not the point.
A person who can so elegantly include a Discworld reference in a discussion about Linux vs. Mac OS X should be listened to.
Most people I know that claim that Zelda is an RPG are people who don't play RPG's and think RPG's suck. "Zelda is the best RPG ever," quoth someone I work with!
People that tend to play more RPG's (such as myself) tend to insist that it's an "Action/Adventure" game.
It's damned useful if explorer has crashed and refused to come back up on it's own. You can open explorer.exe from it. Of course, you can do this in the "Open" dialog too. All in all, I find it depressing that this happens to me enough where I find it a useful feature.
Logic states that you'd probably want to bash in someone's head in after you found out that the person you bet all your money to was using a trick coin.
I think the same problem you have differentiating between complexity in actual game play and complexity in interface is one that is shared by too many game designers today.
Actual game play and interface is simple in design. As you stated in the first part of your post, you don't need hours of intensive training before you can pick up the pieces and play.
That said, the basic rules to chess aren't at all difficult to understand. Neither is the interface. (picking up the piece and moving it to a different square, saying check when you have your opponent in check, etc...) But in spite of that, the game is a very rich thing indeed.:-D
Simplified does not [necessarily] mean dumbed down. Chess is a very simple game with a very simple interface. It is not a dumb game, and I think you would be inclined to agree.:)
You can still have an interesting game that doesn't require something like a driver's ed manual to play.
On a side note, yes attorneys have a large voice in DC, but that's because they hire a ton of folks to do lobbying for them. It's not what you say, it's how many voices you say it with.\
Even with your argument, the problem still seems to be with intolerance. As you said:
The common forms of Christianity practiced in the US today encourage intolerance and bigotry. This is no Christianity! Jesus preached acceptance, inclusion, even friendship with "outsiders".
You go on to quote Jesus' teaching "Judge not, that ye be not judged," but I fail to see what point you're making as you are seemingly passing judgement yourself.
Yes, "Intolerance" is a major problem in America today.:)
(just a thought)
p.s. You also forgot to mention forgiveness along with acceptance, inclusion and "friendship with outsiders."
Although you probably don't need me to tell you this, you should check the web for DSP information. There's lots of it out there. I'd provide a link had I not recently lost them all.

When I sit back and think about all the Acclaim games that I've ever enjoyed......nevermind. I can't think of any. Maybe I've forgotten a good one, but I can't see this is so much of a loss.
My only disappointment is the unlikeliness of a Mary Kate and Ashley Gamecube game.:(

I don't know about this...

Not that classifying games has much use for me.

And with that, you've hit the nail on the head.

Hrmm. If you only sold 4, I can see some problems making this sort've judgment...
If (let's say) 1 out of every 10,000 was defective and you sold 4 out of those 10,000 shipped to your area, then the defect rate is very much not 25%.
4 is a very small sampling.
However, I don't know how often they actually were defective. I'm just presenting this for arguments sake.

The greatest thing about that girl is that she lived down the street from me....
I personally prefer opium as my opiate. ;)
This has been used in the studio for a while, and probably live.
Remember Cher's Life After Love and that effect on her voice that became used so painfully much?
That was achieved with Antares Autotune.

Speaking of old school, how come the article didn't mention Data East's Karate Champ? Some "history of fighters".
:)

If I recall correctly, Karate Champ wasn't a 3d fighter.

The rules, while more complex than tic-tac-toe, are still rather simple. I will concede that it isn't necessarily "very simple."
But the basic rules are still very easy to learn and, as you point out, even when you learn them you'll stick suck at them.
My point is that even though it's rather easy to learn, it's still quite a challenge.

What happened to the Doom ending??? Does anyone remember that cute lil rabbit?? :-D

Quantity wins over quality every time.
The Megaman art was bad. But do you remember Megaman 3? My voice still raises 2 octaves thinking about it.

Christianity is Americas biggest problem.
Intolerance is America's biggest problem.

Ever play Final Fantasy X? The blitzball game was an awful lot like quidditch. Just a thought.

I hope that the game is half-decent, myself. Maybe my mother won't make me play it thru it for her.
