You can go in and set almost anything to what groups of people you want. All my photo albums are set to friends & networks. If I log out and goto my www.facebook.com/mynamehere address, my photo doesn't show up. Nothing shows up.
Sounds like people don't know how to actually use the new privacy settings.
At some point there will be a convergence and all you will have is one host machine somewhere in the house and you access the content from different portals around your house. Just sit on the couch, pick up the controller (or not depending on what control method you prefer), turn on the tele and pick a game. Want to use a keyboard and mouse? Go over to your desk, turn on the monitor and pick a game.
In the US even? I mean I know our politicians are bought and paid for, but wouldn't 3-strikes and you're cut off violate due-process? Granted I haven't read all the details, but it's a bit hard to when it's you know, hidden away from all.
Time to fire up the printer and send off more letters to the Congress critters.
I have seen first hand someone get punted with an Xbox that is in no way modded, and in fact was a replacement he received from MS just a few months ago, after his first one RRoD'd.
He tried to talk to them about it, but they said their system is fool proof and will not unban him.
That's not quite right. Verizon doesn't provide Exchange accounts AFAIK. The extra $15 dollars is if you are on a business account. This comes from friends who are Verizon sales monkeys, but I Googled it too for you Citation Provided.
$30 for personal data plan. You can Exchange all you like. $45 for corp data plan. You can Exchange all you like.
+$30 more for tethering. For me, not worth it, since there is secured-wifi literally everywhere I go on a regular basis. YMMV
Egregious, I say, but not exactly how the/. summary makes it sound.
My primary desktop at home, a 2nd desktop at work, and before release, I had the beta and then RC running in VM's for a few weeks. None of these had problems. Then again most of this is on older hardware (p4's with similar era video cards, etc).
The way you should be based upon laws that are passed for political reasons, "for the children" or whatever other talking point of the month or based on rational debate and reason?
Look at how people drive in other countries (YouTube some traffic videos in say India). You take responsibility for yourself and act accordingly. You don't expect others to act a certain way because the law says so.
That's a completely bogus comparison. Unless you can come up with a better way to do the job that trains do, they still have a purpose. Hauling lots of heavy shit/people long distances for a relatively low cost (compared some other methods).
What is the primary goal of a newspaper? Spread information.
Now, what invention has come along that can do as good a job or better? (Hint: You used it to post your bogus argument.)
The problem is we've been brainwashed by advertisements that we think we just have to have more junk than we will ever use. You don't NEED a lot to survive. There was even a poster on/. who said he made ~10,000/yr, worked 2hrs/wk and that supported his wife, 2 kids and himself and had his house paid off. They grow their food and have some animals like chickens I believe.
If we all just took a touch more responsibility for our own well being... It's not like you really NEED to work 40 hours a week, and in most cases people don't and the world gets by just fine (if you factor in the smoke/coffee/restroom/water cooler breaks, reading/., etc. it all adds up.) And what the fuck does all that hard work get you in the long run anyway? More money and likely your boss will give you MORE WORK, because you're so good at your job.
Look at all the fluff and shit science we read about on here, coming from "career" minded science folk. Work less and focus on quality over quantity and you'd have more time to focus on things you need to do to survive and not crap science because you simply need to "pay your bills". Our society is tailors us to work out ass of and hand over the reward to others for food/etc in order to "survive". It's bullshit.
I love how you're basing this on some videos of a game that isn't even in beta and won't be out for a year.
How can it be "delayed" when a release date was never officially announced?
Looks like you owe Nokia some $$
You must be referring to either Japan or South Korea, right?
Or an arbitrary symbol for which there is no Unicode equivalent.
Then why are they killing them off?

Set up the PPA on my Ubuntu box in sources.list back in Sept/Oct
https://launchpad.net/~chromium-daily/+archive/ppa
Current version shows 4.0.266.0 (Ubuntu build 33943)
You should goto prison. Doesn't mean their copyright should still exist.

*double checks URL he typed in*
Yeah it says http://slashdot.org/ ... thought maybe I'd typed macrumors
If only there were a technology/science news website that did all the work of cataloging such stories in one place.
Each PS3 is capable of 4 million passwords per second
4 million passwords a second what?
Never underestimate the stupidity of rich 'n greedy white people!
True. It's in the governments best interests to keep the stupid ones alive and blindly paying taxes.
Modern medicine has kept those that would succumb to disease or illness alive. Now evolution relies on the stupid to make sure the strong survive.

The faster Rupert puts himself out of business, the better off everyone will be.

Ubuntu needs to put a YMMV disclaimer :P

Seriously this was modded up?

Stop living vicariously through other modders.
