He got him in less than three years. Good job bro, you did it. Now let's get the hell out of Afghanistan + Iraq and stop molesting our own people at the airport.
"Utilizing the gaming platform, PLTW, Ohio DOE and the America's Army team have developed a number of applications which will be implemented over the coming year to enhance PLTW's engineering curriculum, currently implemented in 3,000 middle schools and high schools nationwide. The first educational module will be incorporated into the PLTW Principles of Engineering course. Students will use the America's Army gaming technology to explore kinematics in a ballistics project. They will be able to test the accuracy of their calculations in the virtual environment to observe how different variables such as displacement, time, velocity and elevation angles affect the principles of engineering. They will be able to visualize a parabola trajectory and calculate the varied velocities, ranges, and angles of their device within the game. Students will also be able to 'drive' a vehicle around a virtual obstacle course as well as perform a virtual helicopter drop and determine how various factors will affect the physics of the activity."
Kind of like Lunar Lander, only with better graphics.
The statement said the items found in the searches included:
- Materials to create "sleeping dragons" (PVC pipe, chicken wire, duct tape), which is when protesters lock themselves together - Large amounts of urine, including three to five gallon buckets of urine - Wrist rockets (high-powered slingshots) - A machete, hatchet and several throwing knives...
Protesters have the right to protest. They DO NOT have the right to plant IEDs, spray urine on delegates, etc. Kudos to the police in Minnesota for busting these Stalinists.
I've played the game a few hours since the ISO was released on Thursday. The main difference between GTA IV and previous versions is that the city feels more alive. Pedestrians say more and varied crap to you, people act in a variety of ways when you jack their car, the police act intelligently and hide behind their car doors, etc. There's a ton of stuff to do in the game and I'm sure it took a superhuman effort by the programming staff to get all this stuff packed into the game.
My main complaint is that GTA IV is just a souped up version of the previous GTA games. You play a gangster who goes around breaking laws and doing gangster stuff. The missions are basically the same since the first GTA III - Steal this, muder that, etc. Also there are some frame rate issues, I notice FPS lagging on some occasions. Strange because Burnout looked better and didn't have these problems.
Overall it's a great game. But in many ways it's the same game you've been playing for years.
I got a free copy of Office 2007 Pro from the "Power Together" Vista + Office giveaway. Haven't noticed any ads anywhere, it sure doesn't meet my definition of ad ware.
1) If you press "ALT" the File / Edit / View menus show up in IE and Windows Explorer. It actually works well, hiding the bars when they aren't used gives you more screen space.
2) Up button is gone, but if you have a side button on your mouse that will take you up one level in Windows Explorer.
3) Telnet is dead, long live SSH. Like he said, it's easy to install telnet if you need it.
I run Vista Business x64 and it's far more stable than XP. The biggest improvements for me are the new Windows Update, the new wireless networking connection tool and indexed searching. I have no complaints about speed but I have 2GB of memory. I think those with 1GB or less probably have legitimate complaints.
Maybe Cramer was right. AMD was planning to build a fab in New York with heavy state subsidies. It looks like AMD can no longer afford to build that fab because they are getting owned in the marketplace. Could this deal have anything to do with the investigation? Probably.
I don't know if Intel engaged in anti-competitive behavior. I do know that the reason for AMD's troubles is at least 90% their own fault. I don't think Intel caused Phenom to be repeatedly delayed, nor did Intel cause the TLB bug in the first run of Phenom chips. Intel didn't use mind control rays on AMD CEO Hector Ruiz causing him to lie to the press at every given opportunity either.
Ratchet & Clank is my game of the year. It's a throwback to the old school 3D platformers like Crash Bandicoot. Fun game play, tons of great weapons and an interesting and funny storyline. Just an overall great game.
Wrong, ROM-Mark is irrelevant. BD-R media has no ROM-Mark and pretty much every player these days can play BDMV from BD-R. People have been ripping and burning to BD-R for some time now.
I'm surprised it wasn't Giganews who got sued, they seem to be number one in binary newsgroups. I'm pretty sure that Giganews unlimited subscribers are a formal subset of internet pirates... not that there's anything wrong with that:D
Maybe the RIAA is going after the little guy first.
Crap like this is why people are against "world government". The USA is a sovereign nation and we have a right to ban gambling if we choose to do so. Here we have a bunch of clowns at the WTO telling us that our laws are invalid and we MUST allow internet gambling.
I don't understand why this machine doesn't have backward compatibility. Ever since the Emotion Engine was removed the PS1/PS2 emulation was done in software. Now they took software emulation out too?!?
They set out to do a story on how much techs suck no matter the facts. Memory failure causing the system not to boot is very uncommon. Motherboards and power supplies dying happens far more so it's no surprise that this was misdiagnosed by the noob techs. Then they delete a bunch of system files and are OUTRAGED that people tell them they have a virus. If I saw missing system files I'd probably assume a virus too. Then they claim that a reformat was unnecessary, all that was needed was a Windows reinstall? If there were system files missing I'd just assume virus and do a reformat.
What pisses me off most about this video is the crap they give the guy who diagnosed the memory problem correctly, yet "gouged" them on replacement memory. This guy installed a 1GB DIMM for $120 and they say they were GOUGED because they went on Newegg and found the same memory for $65. Never mind that $65 doesn't include shipping. Never mind that $65 doesn't include tax. Never mind there is NO B&M STORE IN THE WORLD where you can get goods cheaper than you can get them online. If this lady went to Circuit City I bet the same memory would be at least $120. Yet this guy gets called a crook for doing his job well and charging a reasonable price (not even close to gouging).
I know Wii isn't marketed to real gamers, but that doesn't mean Nintendo has to sit back and not release any games. Wii Sports is about all we have and it's been ten months already...
Wii is selling on hype right now, not games and certainly not technical merit. How long until this hype machine runs out of gas?
We're getting off-topic here, but I'm part of the Home beta and I love it. You can launch your games without Home if you'd like, but it's much more fun to meet up with "virtual people" that you are about to pwn at Warhawk. Anyway you're entitled to your own opinion, but Home is free (and coming out in October) so at least try it out before deciding it sucks.
For those of you who don't already know, Sony will shortly be releasing a virtual reality MMO called Home for their PS3 console. Home is a revolutionary game that will turn the console world upside down with its innovative features. On top of that, Home is totally free for PS3 owners!!
When I read the title, I thought the article was about Home being a rootkit. That is clearly not the case. I just wanted to clarify that.
These numbers are misleading. While PS3 may not have outsold Xbox for the month of July, in the SECOND HALF of the month PS3 outsold Xbox. That means PS3 is building momentum. Also keep in mind that PS3 has been out for less than half of the time that Xbox has been out so it's expected that they will be selling less right now. What's amazing is that even though PS3 has been out for about nine months vs about 22 months for Xbox, PS3 has almost caught up to Xbox in monthly sales.
Oh and by the way PS2 and PSP continue to outsell any Xbox product. How about them apples?
No link to original source? And original source is supposedly Chinese state-run media??
Don't believe everything you read on the Internet.
Some blog nobody has heard of trying to drive traffic and/or pump Intel's stock?
OR you didn't RTFA.
Yeah, it's the second one.
He got him in less than three years. Good job bro, you did it. Now let's get the hell out of Afghanistan + Iraq and stop molesting our own people at the airport.

That's simply wrong. The offer was $31 in cash OR 0.9509 of a share of Microsoft common stock.
Either:
1. Microsoft ups their offer. Yahoo board indicated they wouldn't consider anything under $40.
2. Microsoft walks away. Shareholders revolt after stock drops big time.
3. Microsoft wages a proxy fight and tries to win over shareholders over the board's head.
(3) is the most likely outcome. Microsoft already said something like "we won't take no for an answer".
1) If you press "ALT" the File / Edit / View menus show up in IE and Windows Explorer. It actually works well, hiding the bars when they aren't used gives you more screen space.

A close second would have to be Heavenly Sword.

Wii and PS3 owners claim 360 is not next-gen because 360 doesn't have neat motion controls.
PS3 owners claim Wii and 360 are not next-gen because they still use DVD9 storage for games.
360 owners claim Wii is not next gen because Wii can't output 720p.
360 and PS3 owners claim new PS3 is not next-gen because it can't play PS2 games.
It's getting old. Let's just agree that all of the systems are "next-gen" and fight the console war based on merit.
5 divides both 15 and 234682894645, you should have wrote "3 to 46936578929 Hillary..."

Anyone know what happened to Assault?? That was the best mode in UT2004.

Something doesn't make sense here.
