    konqueror and safari are the new browser kings on *nix. The problem with the mozilla is the bloat and galeon went along way to fix that. I havent used ang gnome browser i a while since iswitched to kde lat year and then to OSX this summer. I think a light browser that is just that , only a browser is the way to go. Safari is king for a reason it does what it is supposed to do --browse the web and thats it.

    jared diamond also points out that intelligence wise, there is little difference between people. While the people in the jungles on islands in the pacific may be very good at navigating, tracking and being aware of surroundings, he also notes that people in developed countres perform alot of complex tasks trivially, that a person with no experice in it would have difficulty.

    gee i dunno my univeristy and most others (in the US) consists of whites and asians. Im not going to assume anything abuot whites, but i do know that most asians, inclusind myself, do not come from wealthy families. It is possible to work your way the top without handouts if you are competent and you know it. America in particular rewards hard work, dont tell me its not possible, i used to live in a village in the hills of Nepal and i know many many other with similar stories

    how "affirmative" affirmative action is is based on whether you are descriminated against or not. Consider this, university admissions, you have a rich blond hair blue eyed hispanic and a poor asian kid, affirmative action helps the hispanic kid.

    Being asian, i wouldnt like that too much. descrimination is bad in any way, shape or form.

    i second this. No it is not a troll to say linux desktops suck becasue they do. the kde gnome feud doesnt help. I switched to OSX 1 month back and im not looking back. people shoudl seriously look at OSX and not windows as aguide. Look at panther, with native QT and X11 modes, there is seriously NO need for linux on the desktop

    This is no attempt to say video games are a source of voilence, but these days with all of the sex, violence we see on TV, movies and video games, i am beginning to have second thoughts.
    Mod me down if you like, but i think that things are going over board. (why else do we have reality Tv crap and movies like 2 fast 2 furious) Im not balming video games, but everything. There is a problem with society. You can say there isnt, but IMHO it sounds like denial.
    Society these days has begun to value life less and less, it reminds me of one of those dystopian future sceneraios where they have galidiators.
    Senseless violence is fucked up.
