My boss had an entire class C for about 10 years+ with on average maybe 7-8 employees over that time and a web footprint no bigger than a basic corporate contacts website. He probably could have held on to it, too if he didn't see the expense as a waste of money when he was looking to streamline.
Have you seen the INSANE rates being charged for iPhone data plans? I've been seeing $15 per additional GB and even $15/300MB on some plans over your allotted caps.
IPads have a definite role as ultra-mobile computers where laptops fail. Theyre fantastic for notetaking, textbooks, and mobile browsing. I just bought one for school and the iPad handles most of the lighter tasks and notetaking, even some diagramming and homework writing really well. Im the proverbial skeptic who became a believer. Laptop replacement? No but dont dismiss them because they suck for writing code.
The only people who'd need to worry are those exploiting the game who've distorted their toon names thinking that's all they need to do hide their identities.
A couple of my roommates would have xerox parties to copy textbooks they needed. But, they had to find a "safe" place to do so where they wouldn't lose their access. It takes hours to do all that copying. The savings are great, just not so sure it would be worth the hassle.
I played HL for the first time a few years ago; years after I'd played HL2. The game had tons of content, ingenious puzzles to solve, and maybe the best final boss I've ever fought in a FPS. Even with the low-end graphics, I still found this one to be a blast to play. Don't let the age of the game detract you from revisiting it.
* Take class notes * Read my textbooks * Only have to carry a 2 lb tablet and not 4 textbooks and 4 notebooks to class every day. * Better for traveling with since it does everything I need it to do on vacation that I used to do on my laptop * Works way better for lounging computer use; sitting on a couch or laying in bed * A better recipe holder than bringing up a whole laptop
I'm not proving your point; you're selectively reading what I wrote.
I got an iPad this semester for school. I take all my notes on it and have all my textbooks on it; including using it as the calendar for my school events. After I got mine, I noticed how many causal computing tasks this device does better than a laptop or cellphone. The latter handle the boundary use cases very well, while the iPad does everything in between well. I could probably live with a dumb phone now, use the iPad as my utility computer, and rely on my laptop for my heavier lifting.
You might think it's an overhyped gadget (and I did too before I got one), but they're definitely industry changers.
Same old jokes and criticisms. Reading these posts, you'd think Java was relegated to driving outhouse fans in Siberia and not the #3 language by popularity in the world.
That being said, the Java *browser* vulnerabilities need to be taken far more seriously. The only exploit that I know I've been hit by was through an unpatched Java install and it was nasty; as in rebuild my laptop from the ground up nasty.
But, I think he got a lot of unwarranted attention; possibly at the expense of other coworker due more credit for the success of the landing. Another note, I was disappointed at the casual dress in the mission control center. Jeans and shirts, etc. Seems like they could have at least gone business casual for one day. It just looked unprofessional to me.
The same reason we have bombers and subs. Bombers are mobile and "reversible", silos are static. Google for "nuclear triad" you'll find better answers for the strategy behind each leg.
How appropriate that you posted the news as a dupe

All I see is a guy floating 10 feet off the ground.
Why would we need TV shows for that? Every bathroom in America has a mirror.
I'm sure it was a PhD in Psychology who designed World of Warcraft's grind-reward model.

Now when I read an article about an Oort cloud object 10,000 AU from the Earth, I'll know to scrub off that extra 2000 km from my mental model.
I'd like to buy one outright and go w/ a no-contract plan. Anyone know how that works?

Would you like to buy my asteroid deterrence rock?

Oh yeah. Sent from my iPad

To loan to his students. That's what mine does. And, who wants to spend $100 on a calculator they're only going to need in one class?

Is this better?

We just need to stop practicing safe sex and be even more promiscuous to end epidemics like AIDS and incurable forms of Gonorrhea.
They're part of a shadowy, polite subgroup of syrup-suckers called "Canadians."
