Not that I usually comment to AC's...but hey, you didn't like the game. There's nothing wrong with you.

To me, EQ2 is for people that are NOT hardcore gamers...WoW is more hardcore. See, I can pull things out of my ass like anyone else.

A game is as hardcore or casual as you want to make it. Either one. I think WoW is just as hardcore as any other MMORPG out there on the market, AND it's more fun. But that's my opinion. You're obviously looking for something else.

EQ2 didn't grab me. Still doesn't grab me. It looks and feels like it was made by a bunch of people punching a time-clock at Sony. There's no passion, there's no vibe to it. It's like Sony threw a bunch of cash at people and said build us a sequel.

Now, if you think hardcore powergamers are people that grind away for loot then that's just sad. I'm a "hardcore powergamer" that grinded(is that a word...grend, grund my way?) his way through EQ1. I'm sick of grinding. Grinding does NOT equate into a "hardcore game" to me. If that's the definition, then I guess all these years of playing these games I was always a casual gamer.

But yes, WoW will evolve, as do all these types of games. You and others like you don't like it. Ok...move on. They can't please everyone!

And please, stop lumping groups of people into one game or another. All people are different. And your argument about a level 60 not having anything to show for with a guy that plays 4 hours a week. Trust me, there are no people that are level 60 that only play 4 hours a week...well, yet. And so what if there are? How is that taking away from your game experience that there is a level 60 out there? There were level 70 people in EQ...did that bug you too? What is this "nothing to show for it"...what do you want to show..a fucking medal?

And WHERE are you pulling these "non true mmo players" from? WTF...are you THAT elitist?

Breaking your Anonymous Coward post down, sounds like you're jealous...you wish to be exclusive. You wish to be a level 60 and no one else can touch you...just so you can parade around like it's a fucking accomplishment! WHO CARES?!?! Who cared that someone was level 70 on EQ? Who cares that you're the highest level on EQ2? No one.

There are ex EQ2 players on wow...there are ex wow players on EQ2...again...BIG FUCKING DEAL!

I'm not a fanboi (again, is this a fucking word?) of either game. I like one over the other. Will I stick with either? I don't stick with games. I play them until I get bored...then I move on. When it starts to grind again, I move on. If the "hardcore mmo player" is someone that sticks to a game that isn't fun for them anymore and just grinds...then the "hardcore mmo player" is a fucking idiot.

Well, it will raise sea levels and flood coastal areas.

    So?
Are you heartless, millions of people and animals will have to move out and go inland!

    So?
But we can stop this, this isn't natural! We caused it!

So? I mean, aren't we part of nature? Hasn't there been over the history of the Earth ice ages and warm ages? Things melt, things freeze. Species die, species evolve. Why are we suddenly out of the picture just because we can think and walk on two legs?

The world will evolve around us...if we're here or not. What does everyone want? Want the world to evolve "naturally" without are involvement? How is this possible? How do we know what is natural and what isn't?

I don't mean to sound crass or flippant about all this, but SO WHAT? The world will survive us...trust me. To paraphrase George Carlin, the Earth isn't going anywhere...WE ARE! The Earth will shake us off like a bad case of fleas.

We have absolutely NO idea what the climate will be 100 years from now. The computer models can guess all they want but they're always be just that, guesses. Guesses built upon old guesses modeled after other computer guesses.

And these guesses are no better at predicting the future than Karnac. I can make a prediction also! I predict, according to computer models and research, that the sky will turn purple in 200 years due to the fact that people are spraying more lavender air fresheners into the atmosphere! Yes, in 200 years the sky will be purple. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST!

Next I belive the game companies are going to not only go after pirated games (already been doing this to mediocre success) but also going after IGE type companies and game cheaters and hackers like on Steam.

ok, according to Apple's warranty (this is there basic 1 year warranty):

This is for ALL their products under the 1 year warranty as ahacop listed in his link above.

    link spelled out is:
    http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/hardware. html

If you notice, it's not a special warranty for the Mac Mini...it's their normal 1 year warranty.

So why am I beating everyone over the head with this? Well, it's saying even their high-end, easy to open Dual G5 machines have to be upgraded at Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider! Yet no one seems to be harping about this...ever. So why is everyone pointing it out about the Mini? The original iMacs were hard to open also, yet opening them and upgrading the memory didn't void the warranty.

As long as you don't ruin something on the inside from being stupid, you don't void the warranty. But this is true for ANY of their computers.

Usually there is a big sticker on the outside of a case saying "no servicable parts inside, opening will void your warranty". Does the Mac Mini have some type of warning on it's case?

It's more effective to go after real issues and not create un-true ones.

    From another site:

I spoke with the product manager for the Mac mini today to clarify a few facts.

    1. Yes, it will boot headless, meaning with no display or video device connected, enabling you to have what I like to call an iServe.
    2. While it is strongly recommended that you only have an Apple Authorized Service Provider crack it open and install RAM, hard drives, Airport and Bluetooth, it will NOT void your warranty if you do it yourself. As is standard operating procedure, however, anything you break while attempting anything on your own is not Apple's responsibility and will not be covered under warranty. I think that is pretty much common sense.
    3. Airport and Bluetooth can, in fact, be added after purchase. AirPort Extreme card and Bluetooth module attach to the Mac mini's motherboard via a special connector and will be sold together as a kit for $129.mac mini insides
    4. RAM is the most accessible upgrade once you get the case off. That much is clear from the picture.
    5. All upgrades other than RAM are not as accessible, but accessing them won't void your warranty, with list item #2 above in mind.
