Here in Florida its an at-will work state, you can be quit your job any time without notice. More importantly, companies can fire you without notice. Wheeee. So technically, a Contractor in FL has better legal protection than a (non-Union Labor) employee.

That said, Linus Tovalds is most definitely an executive, however, the biggest difference between him and Gates/Ballmer/etc is that he actually WORKS for a living, instead of sitting on his ass playing with investment and accounting reports and reviewing 'industry reports' and pretending like (to quote another famous rich MORON) 'its hard work'.

Although if I was Gates/Ballmer, I'd probably spend a good amount of my day just rolling around in $100s and laughing at the people poorer than me, too.

I already speak some Spanish. Most Europeans know two languages, their home country and French, German or English. And on top of that, I'd rather learn Spanish than have New York City, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Seattle, Chicago, Vancouver, Anchorage, and hundreds of other cities with and without personal friends in them be blinked out of existance by multimegaton nukes.

I'm also as confused as to what Kerry/Edwards have to do with Spanish becoming a new national language. Also, last time I checked, Bush was directly catering to the Mexican/Cuban vote, stumbling over the words and giving over 100 spanish language interviews in 2000 during his election campaign. Then again, he hasn't done a single one this election campaign...

From now on, we enter the lines seperately when our son is with us. The only remotely logical explanation is that she took trips with her parents to Hungary and around Europe before she was 10 years old and thus is on some sort of watch list.

Fuck 9/11 and fuck homeland security. If someone is determined and smart, they can blow up any goddamn thing they want, no amount of flag waving bullshit security is going to save us. Its reality and people don't want to face it. The only way we catch these people (the ones REALLY determined to hit us) is a LOT of hard work by LAW ENFORCEMENT (NOT MILITARY!) with an extra hefty scoop of LucK. Terrorism is a law enforcement issue, not an issue of war.
