Where in the Pledge does it ever mention leaders? My interpretation of the Pledge is that I believe in the ideals that the U.S.A. were founded on. For the sake of discussion, I'd leave out the "under God" part. Show me where it mentions leaders? I've never recited the pledge in front of a picture of the president? Have you?
Money, and more money. The shareholders within the company are set to sell the stocks as they rise. They'll make a ton, and retire when the company goes teets up or gets sued into oblivion.
Maybe I'm being too pie-in-the-sky, but it would be cool if as part of the quest to become a jedi, but nearing the end of the quest, there would be some GM involvement that would basically make completing it an individual thing. Either by coding NPCs to react a certain way based on the character's individual ID in the database, or actual GM intervention.
"I'm sorry, it has been determined that you are of insufficient intelligence to use the Hotmail service. Please consider using MSN. Its not free, but hey... you're too stupid to care anyway."
It would really suck to see Hotmail have to bend on this to the point of making automated account creation a trivial roadblock for spammers.
But hey, isn't Bill Gates working on stopping spam? Doesn't that mean that spam will be gone really soon? Doesn't it???
As a kid, the scene where the baby with the forked tongue scared the crap out of me.
I recently saw that episode again with my wife and could not stop laughing at how funny the little doll looked when that little plastic tongue popped out and wiggled back and forth.
Most of you earthlings have no idea what is out beyond your puny solar system. Perhaps this game will further our cause to open a dialogue between my people and yours.

PlanetBandit (yes, we exist)
Actually, it does make me smile to see companies making an effort to bring linux appeal to as large of an audience as possible. I seriously doubt that we'll ever see any major piece of software out there (commercial) that can only be run on Linux, causing people to flood in droves over to Redhat's site and spam their message boards with posts asking why Linux is "so hard to work." For a good example, check out the message boards for ShowEQ
My company, Mediacom(www.mediacomcc.com) is definitely looking into providing high speed web access via set-top boxes. For the most part we offer high speed internet access to places that sometimes can't even get a local dial up. Unfortunately, they haven't really committed to offering this type of access yet.
The story about the Big Mac is great, but the link to the "desktop supercomputer" chip is what really captured my attention

I thought it was the Law of Gravity. Of course, i went to a very small school. Seriously, is it only a theory?
Speaking as the husband of an Arabic-speaking Christian... You, sir, are correct!
I have always thought of "under God" to represent the freedom to worship in the US. Even if your God is yourself, money, Natalie Portman, etc...

The top dogs are set to make a fortune off of this whole fiasco. I sure hope that SOMEBODY in the SEC is watching.
Ok, you talked me out of it. With style.
Are you implying that Californians go to bed at 5pm?
Bah, I get your point, I am just poking fun. If I was in Japan, I'd probably get up and go at 4am... Just for the hell of it.

If there are only 30 jedi in all of SWG at the end of 2004, I'll be pleasantly surprised.
If there's >100...
I totally agree. MOST of the traffic I see inbound to my server at home is due to microsoft insecurities that have been exploited.
I can hear it now...

Google has modified all Microsoft.com links to point to SCO's website.
Perhaps all Marvel related skins could have "belongs to marvel" tatooed on their asses?
This conjures up images from that episode of "Friends" where the guys couldn't stop staring at the screen during BayWatch.
"They're running again..."

I can't wait to check this out.
Perhaps our vocabularies differ, but in my book Charity is when I give something freely out of the kind generosity of my huge heart.
I don't remember offering to "give" up this money.
QUOTE: "The government has to get its money somehow."
Perhaps that should be rephrased to: "The goverment has to get YOUR money somehow"
gawd, I suck at HMTL (and actually reading my previews)

The one true question:
What is REALLY in hot dogs?
I'd like to see them solve THAT one.
I like to play games.
I like to play with friends and family.
I prefer Role-Playing Games.
Everquest is an Online Role Playing Game.
I play Everquest with friends and family.
Where's the problem?
I'd prefer to see the new sexier than sexy models out in the bars demonstrating the latest in condoms...
"Hey, sir... can you help me out with this whiz-bang new product? I really think you'd like it."
Maybe it's just me.
