I was thinking about some of the FPS that couldn't be adapted to the Rev or even GC because you couldn't click down the analoge sticks. Like Halo's click to duck. (not saying Halo will ever be ported to Nintendo). What I'm thinking is it would be cool to do the ducking/crouching/running thing with this controller.

Seriously, you could just hold the controller near the ground and point it at the screen to lay down in sniping posistion, or hold it at chest level to run and fire at will. The camera angle would, of course, change for you as you moved, and dynamically too. Not three posisitions, but all positions, just tell the game how tall you are and there you go.

You could also use it (to an extent) to hide behind cover nearby (ala quick strafing, rather than just running). Of course, there would be limits... after all, you don't want to jump so far over that you hit a wall, or best/worst case senario, you have enough room and a big enough TV to get out of range.

People are posting all sorts of ideas on Slashdot alone. Hope Miyamoto and his cronies are paying attention. We may be thinking of stuff that they haven't (not saying I am, but there's some pretty bizarre ideas floating around).

The rock is supposed to help you understand another rock, but it doesn't do this. It merely sits there making you wonder what this rock could possibly have to do with anything. The GC controller has only three shoulder buttons where the PS3 and XBox360 have four (x-boxes black and white buttons are now shoulder).

Still, I agree with anyone who hates thumbstick controls, as they inevitably take away from mobility or functionality. Maybe there should be an analoge on the bottom that your ring finger could manipulate and leave your thumb free for fragging.... Oh I am so totally patenting that.

Also I think everyone here is thinking it. MS would be backing Blu-Ray if it was Toshiba that created it, or Intell, or Mistubishi. The reason they aren't backing it now is because they don't want to pay one of they're few direct competitors (Sony) to use one of their (Sony's) products.

Say Sony didn't have the PS3 or whatever coming out. MS would be throwing everything they had into Blu-Ray. I only say this because the only obstical that showes itself is that the discs will be slightly more delicate and the initial dev cost is a little higher.

If you've been paying close enough attention to the third-party press releases. Most of them are working on Revolution projects. They have to sign non-disclosure agreements in order to recieve dev. kits. And unlike Sony or MS, Nintendo doesn't tolerate leaks very well. They also don't comment on rumors, so if you hear about something, it's generaly bull untill you hear it from the big N. Anyway, a there are a few releases (I can't get into most game sites at work, so I can't link 'em), where companies say they are working with Nintendo on the new system. We can basically translate that as non-rumor. It came from the companies themselves, and we can only assume dev kits are out there. The developers merely state they cannot comment.

Think of it this way: If Nintendo plans on having a sucessfull launch, the will NEED to have as many launch tiltles as possible. Not just Mario and Pilotwings (N64, I'm looking at you here). And it takes more than a year for a decent game.

Back to the point. I'm not saying that IV is worse than VI. In my regard, I have absolutly no preference of one over the other. I loved them both and they sit on the same rung of my all time top 10 latter. The only way I could have loved IV any more is if the spells came quicker, and there was more pixil animations. Also, there was the moon. All in all, the story had less depth and the jumps between levels needed were too big. When you went to the moon you could be powerful enough to run over any group of enimies in 30 seconds or less, but you hit that moon, and for the first 15 levels after that, every fight's a boss fight. Even when you are strong enough to take on the outer-moon baddies, then going inside the caves and the last castle requires another 5-10 levels each!

VI on the other hand was perfection in my eyes except for the blurring of the classes. Everyone was a mage with another skill (after you start picking up magicite). I really don't have a problem with having a tank, mage, healer, theif and whatever in my group. Even if they have their own skillset, please, don't make my charecters so similar. I like haveing limitations on chars. This doesn't count having different stats either.

I've never been a fan of leveling. That is why I really don't like the newer games in the series. In order to do any extra stuff, you have to spend literally 100's of hours leveling and battling just to get your ultimate weapons. It is too much of a time commitment. I haven't even finished X. I don't know if I ever will... I made it to the last dungeon and said, "Hey, I'm at the last dungeon and this game hasn't gotten good yet?!" I kept playing expecting it to get better and it never delivered. The story line is cheesy and the battle system was nothing new. I really liked the leveling system, very inovative. But a great game innovative leveling does not make.

Assuming the tires are 8 inches wide and have a band of tire 2.5 inches on the ground, I believe the max pressure that could be put on the Nano is 140 pounds. This is assuming the nano is placed so that the tire runs over it the long way.

    2000lbs/4 tires = 500lbs/tire

    8in*3.5in/tire = 20sqinches/tire

    Max footprint on Nano is 3.5in*2.5in or 5.6 square inches x 25lbs/sqinch = 140lbs (min is 2.5*1.6=4x25 or 100lbs)

Still, you're only putting 25lbs/sqaure inch on the thing, so if a big guy stood on it, or ran it over it would theoretorically do more damage. I didn't take into account that the tire is rolling over it, but, seeing as it's only a quarter of an inch thick and made with aluminum casing, I can't imagine much damage.
