you think that's a joke, but yesterday one of my coworkers (also a web developer) asked me about a web address. The exchange went like this
Me - lite.icq.com
Coworker - I can't find that site
me - What are you typing?
cw - lite.icq.com , as you said
I went to his machine and found out he was typing www.lite.icq.com on the SEARCH text box on MSN.com. Of course it said "Sorry, no results were found".
The other thing was the www at the begining, why had he put it? I didn't say www to him. He believes every web address has to begin with "www"
It was cool, and it was the only video game where difficult levels were named for program languages (RPG, COBOL, BASIC, FORTRAN, ASSEMBLER, etc. ) I was about 12 years old and I wanted to learn programming after playing this game

This phrase made me stop and ask to myself "what was the point of this entire article?". I had to read it again to mak sure if Katz was claiming that a drone war is less moral and I believe you got it backwards. Katz likes drone wars. These two paragraphs show it:
A war without sacrifice is definitely a 21st century idea. Why should citizens of any country hesitate to wage such a war if they have the machinery? Drone Wars might not appear so terrible. They might even become irresistible
Of course, I'm not approving what Katz said, because I'm not a US citizen and I'm more likely to be a target on this kind of war.
We'll never see a war like that, as it wouldn't decide anything
No, we'll never see a war like that because any technologically advanced nation will only make war to nations without technology. More likely you will see drones fighting poorly armed humans

When I started working I got a job as a teacher. I was teaching ATARI LOGO to kids on elementary school, and let me tell you two things:
If you have no experience dealing with children you will go crazy at the end of the first week. Treating children is not an easy task, you have to gain their trust and their confidence. At the same time you have to keep them under your control, and the only quiet, calm children are those who are sick.
On the other hand LOGO was real great to keep children interested. I showed them great games written on LOGO and promised them that if they behaved and paid attention they would learn to make their own games. That make them interested enough to be quiet (most of the time)
