I have the same sentiments as the top poster. Now I'm just buying DVDs of movies/shows I absolutely love...because I'm sure in a few years they will have an improved standard to match HDTV. I mean, if I can see the compression artifacts on my $300 27" TV w/ S-Video, how sad am I going to be when they slap me in the face on my $2500 wide-screen HDTV set?
You seriously think that Python and Perl are competing with Java? Java's niche is the Enterprise...Python and Perl can go home and play in the sandlot.
He's obviously hoping to release this terror on the urban landscape, and make his profit selling new-fangled wheelchairs to the people injured because of the 'SegWay':)
That, or get rich with an at-home stomach stapling kit, since nobody WALKS anymore.
Don't cripple the growth of the Internet by advocating bandwidth limits. The only thing you will end up crippling is the continuing introduction of new, interesting websites with full-motion video and audio. The last thing we want is people defecting back to 56K, or worse, moving away from the Internet completely because "it's just not worth it."
I don't consider this 'growth'...I consider it bloat. If people want to watch this stuff over an IP connection, let them pay for it.
Your message implies that this will be IBM's one and only method for providing service. It won't. You'll still be able to have a dedicated farm running your stuff if you want.
And how exactly can you compare this distributed approach to distributed.net? Makes no sense. Are you trolling?
At the very least, add a URL with the search terms you used to produce the related information. Googling is a bit of an art, one I'm not an expert at, and it's always good to see a more experienced try.
All non-windows users are not considered zealot. Perhaps you should look up the definition of the word. If you use a Mac and like, good for you, you're a computer user. If you use a Mac and take every opportunity to point ot aupposed flaws in my system of choice and to bray about your system of choice, you are a Zealot.
I see the Macsterbators have lots of moderator points today!
All the highschoolers near me have phones, and if you don't watch TV, they have phones available in the US with cameras. In fact, I think the press release made it to slashdot.
Man oh man...

I suppose you've never heard of J2EE?!
You don't really believe that, do you?

GCC error message blow. IT's pretty damn good for free, but if you have a few nickles to rub together, most commercial compiler packages are superior.
Yeah, but what about all those other countries sharing a continent with France?
How lame. How racy can it be if the title has been neutered?
If Linux support tools evolve to the level of SMIT and other such AIX things, then I can see this happening.
I can't describe why I think it's ghetto, but I do.
Slashdot has been washed down.
I mean, it would be able to communicate directly to it's creator.
No I do NOT. Did you miss the "reproducable" part, troll?

Of course, the macsturbators would simply claim that the Windows users know their system is inferior and don't try to keep users from 'leaving'.
You really think he was talking about a Macintosh? Try MAC-10.
file-ownership is determined upon installation of a modern Microsoft operating system. All your anti-MS posts are belong to punk-kitty.
Many ranters...
