So, how much money is/. getting for advertising Puzzle Pirates? This isn't a review, and "Zonk" seems to have posted it on his own initiative. Maybe Timothy can investigate it for his next installment of "Your Rights Online".
This link offered no more information that one can get by clicking on the documentation for the puzzles. In fact, the documents have more information, and have pictures.
Well, I'm using Firefox from Gentoo's Portage system, which downloads the source from a set of mirros, and not from Firefox's servers, so I'm thinking all the Gentoo Firefox users aren't being counted at all.
So, this miscount works both ways.

Remember, it was Big Brother who wrote Emmanuel Goldstein's "The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism".
"The question is then 'who created our creator', since, by definition, for something to exist, someone must have created it."
If time is an attribute of the created universe, then there would be no concept of "before" and "after" outside of it. Talking about what happened before the big bang is meaningless, since there is no "before the big bang".
If this is the case, then a creator would need no creator. The creator exists outside the created universe, and is not subject to it's rules.
I've got one word for you.... "defense". There is a real need for people who know software design for large projects, and government contracts for some large projects.
I've been looking into building my own MythTV box from scratch, but now I'm considering waiting for this to come out. My concern is that ESG is going to modify the MythTV code enough that you'll be forced to get updates through them, as oppose to using the binaries from their site.
As an aside, does anyone know where I can a document on how to connect a MythTV box to a Comcast High-definition cable box?
Whatever mythbusters did, I did this to myself. When I was in my early teens, I put a glass mug of water in the microwave for something silly (like 5 minutes) waiting for the water to boil. It never did. (My parents have very nice well water.)
Finally, I figured it must at least be warm, and pulled the mug out of the microwave. As soon as I put the spoon in the water, it exploded all over me, scalding me pretty bad.
My wife and I, before we were married, used to play Age of Wonders by email. It met our needs well, in that we were able to play the online strategy games we both loved, while still being able to work around our respective school schedules.
I wish more gaming publishers would integrate the format into their turn-based multiplayer games.
You aren't required to rank every candidate on the ballot. Leaving candidates unranked simply means that you have no preference for any of them, and they are all less preferential than any candidates you have ranked.
Just because I stole your bike, doesn't mean that you are allowed to burn down my house, both things are a crime and the first doesn't justify the second.
I don't think the analogy is correct. It seems that a more correct analogy would be attaching an explosive device to my bike, and putting a big sign on the bike that said, "Don't steal me!"
If a person stole the bike, put it in their garage, and the bike exploded and burned down their house, I don't think the thief would have any moral justification for recompense.
Uncomfortable is right! Imagine trying to defeat the forces from hell with a keyboard hanging around your neck, and a dreamcast on your back, and you'll realize why I keep losing!
I'm leaving for Tokyo next month, and I'm wondering whether it's worth it to go to one of the blowfish establishments. Is it actually good eating, or does the value lie in telling your friends that you did it?
I'm not really a sushi gourmand, but I do really like it (just can't tell the bad stuff from the good stuff.) I'm looking in dropping about $90 for a dinner at this place in Tsukiji, but I just want to know ahead of time if I'm going to be disappointed if I'm going for an amazing culinary experience.

Oh, wait...

You do make a good point about logic, though.
Well, it is a bit noteworthy that you need an intelligent being to create the program to kick off the evolving software.

FYI, it's one of the danged funniest movies ever made.

Just my $0.02.
How exactly is this news for nerds? Yeah, I'm looking forward to the movie, but I'm not looking for information about it on slashdot.
what? Typing of the Dead was the bomb!
No, we don't.
I mean, look at the success of the public education system! How could they even think about privatizing it! Think of the children...

Shouldn't it be "s/better/convoluted" ?
I downloaded the removed video when the site was on Fark this week. You can get it off my server here (3.8 meg wmv).
Wow? Michael Moore posts on slashdot? ;-)
Thanks! They should be fixed, now...
I'll take it down if he wants me to, of course, but I thought it would help.
