Any cases that go to court will already be dwarfed by the massive sums of money Android will have earned Google.
I mean have any of the hundreds of infringement lawsuits against the large patent holders listed in this article (Apple MS, Oracle) harmed them in any significant way? No. They wear their battles scars as a badges of honor.
2: Require them to do so.
3: Don't pay them to do so.
4: Profit!
Your post is funny and may be true in some cases. But the net affect may be a loss of money.
After all people walking in and out of the office with property that is no longer assumed to be that of the employer will no doubt hamper efforts to control the inventory levels of said company.
And yours is an interesting theory, aside from the whole not being true part. Good one, though, especially taking the opportunity to do a little race baiting. Excellent! Keep up the good work on behalf of the state, citiizen.
The debate, incidentally, isn't over his nationality, but over the timing of the requirement that he be a "natural born citizen," which is a reference to his parents, not to him. At least be oily and misleading about the right stuff, OK?
I think you need to learn the meaning of "race baiting". (Here's a hint: it has nothing to do with calling out someone who actually exhibits racist traits.)
I agree with the parent post. It is so wonderful to see Tea Party cranks make fools of themselves with their ridiculous, ill considered. sandwich-boards displaying their IQ deficiencies for all the world to see.
Do NOT underestimate them. Do NOT be an "ugly" american. They are not going to take the jobs away-- but they do take away the code monkey jobs.
You are being misled. It is your bosses that are truly being the ugly Americans. They are holding the "good quality labour" at insanely low cost over your head.
I am not saying you are lapping it up - clearly you are thinking your way through this in terms of your long term goals. But you seem to have come to the conclusion that this is providing you security, and a pension etc... and that nowhere else will do the same.
You probably believe this to be true because of the "horror stories" being told to you about other workplaces. These build up the viewpoint you have now because they reinforce what you already believe.
It does sound like you are tired of this. Come on!! Break out of this!! See a doctor for more than your annual checkup - at the very least let your family doctor know that you are being worked like this and ask for advice on some form of psychological therapy.
I like all the comforts of home in my F250 (no, I do not own a farm, but I am a truck gal) and my guy makes sure everything works, even things I did not know were broken:)
I get uncomfortable when things approach too much tech, like Gunkerty Jeb notes. Over the life of this relationship, I have learned a lot that I should have known anyway about vehicles. Like "the good old days" when a wire went to a switch that controlled a solenoid or a motor, instead of going to a computer that controls everything until it doesn't and you still have a switch and a motor to replace when they die.
Him, horsepower is king. He cares about the shine, heat and AC in his trucks and is always messing with something to get more horsepower.
Yeah this article is probably not taking into account the truck driving gals in the world who have husbands that also drive trucks.
Now if the article was about the number of truck drivin' ladies with husbands who also drive big ol' trucks? I imagine that % would be very high indeed
Also probably a sign of the times, the article only really mentions one "truck"; the 2012 Explorer, which may not qualify as a "real truck" with you or your Gravedigger drivin' man.
the awesome scooter technology from the 90's. Now that would be a wicked awesome company to define a new innovative gaming device for future generations!

the sacred words "films, music and and ebooks" and you have actually made the case that RapidShare or any other file sharing technologies should be protected by the courts.
Reading your post, I feel like Diablo 3 is already out (even beta would have made my top 10 list of things I can't have for xmas 2010) and You somehow made it on to the North America realm.
2 years @ $500,000 a year doesn't sound like a lot. In fact it sounds completely implausable for something as valuable as the results they produced. Maybe in the 50's or something.
I wonder how they came up with that figure? I imagine the lab + scientists alone cost that much to outfit and rent; not to mention lawyers and research assistants
Yesterday our admins changed our wireless access from WEP to WPA in order to make our connections more secure - sadly the password we have been using for over a year stayed the same.
Over the course of 4 days someone keeps saying that they are wearing a condom and they keep accepting this without proof? At some point the liability has to transfer to the foolee rather than the fooler.
Wikipedia would have to pay a lot of people to edit it because a huge number of their volunteers would probably revolt and quit working on the site if there were ads on it.
There are ads on Slashdot though. We still come here and contribute./. even rewards our patience and contributions with the means to turn these ads off.
The normal length for classified material is 50 years. That isn't to say it can't last longer or be declassified earlier, but 50 years is the normal NDA length. Why would this be any different?

"...sent to him by Gregory Perry, who worked on the OpenBSD crypto framework a decade ago."
I think that 50 years sounds normal for an agency whose job has become protecting secrets. A decade does not sound like something that would benefit them at all. That's what seemed strange to me about the original article.
Right now = present
compared to my statement:
" ...money Android will have earned"
earned, as in the future.

...wait, I have to buy a PS3?
... there's a significantly greater than zero chance that you and I are even dumber.
How significant? 40% more than zero? This means you're still probably smarter than Palin. And that's gotta be something to be proud of.

People were previously not able to buy enough Apple products online, in the Apple store, and Best Buy and Walmart. Finally a new way to consume more!

I mean the idea that this person would still be alive when "the NDA expired..." was odd.
Why would the FBI make any NDA on something as shameful as this that would expire during one's lifetime?
