What this man was lacking was a safe way to act out his aggressions on the person he was chatting with. And what do they call a chat application where you can bludgeon the other users with a blunt object? Deathmatch.
4) And the Lord said, "Remove thy cartridge and blow into it, such that the breath of life that I have given unto thee would give new life unto thy cartridge."
5) The people did as the Lord spoke, so that the scourge upon the console should be lifted.
6) The Punch-Out title didst appear, and the people rejoiced with beatings upon Glass Joe and offerings of burnt Hot Pockets.
Bull. A thin brush with a flux pen (No-clean for most hobbyist work) over SMT pads before tacking a part down can make the difference between bridged or cold solder joints and a good mechanical and electrical connection. Try replacing a 200+ pin TQFP with.5mm pitch pins by hand before you tell someone to go back to soldering 101.
MIPS isn't going away. MIPS is very popular for embedded video processing. TiVo is MIPS (now, at least), the PSP is MIPS, and many DVD players are based on a MIPS. MIPS is still popular because the ISA isn't patented and there are a number of compatible cores out there.
Funny, I can't see myself paying $0.99 for a track from an old album I could get at the used CD store for $5. Just because Apple releases a product doesn't mean you have to buy it.
CDs (and DVDs) have a ridge near the spindle hole that keeps stacked disks separated by about 1mm. This is why blank manufacturers can get away with bulk packaging blank disks (which are more sensitive to damage) in spindles. In fact, the industrial bulk packs for CD blanks is a stack of 100 disks, with an uncoated disk on the top and bottom, all shrinkwrapped together without a spindle.
But yes, do be careful not to get an axial scratch on a disk.
I don't think anyone here is saying that RFID is inherently evil. Forcing people to have something permanently injected into their body that gives them no medical or other personal benefit is what's being questioned. Many people walk around with scars from vaccine injections, but at least they got something out of it.
IANASA (anymore), but it seems to me that talking smack about sysadmins on/. is right up there with sending child porn to president@whitehouse.gov . Just remember, they can read your email.

No tea.
Except he's trying to do the opposite of what the commercially available CF to IDE adapters do.

TiVo Series 2 is MIPS based. Series 1 is PPC based. Series 3 has yet to be determined.

[*] Here, and all through the BKDG. What do I win?
I can't believe I wasted my precious karma on that SIGGRAPH article yesterday.
I don't think you're happy enough. That's right, I'll teach you to be happy! I'll teach your grandmother to suck eggs!
for budgeting something top secret. C.G.B. Spender was unavailable for comment.
No, but it's gonna take my turn and drink my beer. And I bet it has papers.
Why?
Screw that. Just get D-FENS on their asses. He knows his rights as a consumer.

Kinky for Governor. Why the hell not?
Why would the Federal Reserve need cameras?

Not sure. But give me a nuclear warhead and we can find out.
Like... Like kernel modules?
Apparently RTFA has given way to RTFWP: RTF Whole Post.
What Transmeta does in software can be beat out by a trained monkey and a Speak-n-Math.
I believe the correct answer is "Get me some juice bitch, I'm thirsty. And a banana cognac bitch!"
