I used to have constant migraines before switching to an LCD monitor too. I used to get one every two or three months(crippling!). Now, it's been a year or more since I had one.
Also, one funny thing - I bought a cactus, and put it in front of my CRT monitor, a few years ago. It was small, still growing. After a few weeks of exposure to my always on CRT, it began to mutate, or grow. It grew as thin, but very very long strand. I'm talking about 35 cms vertically. It was also very yellow and, well, for a cactus, it didn't look exactly healthy. Very brittle. That sent a message.
The Neuros mp3 player has that exact functionality you're looking for, along with OGG, MP3, FM broadcasting, recording and open source software. Go get one.
What's the difference between this Skype system, and for instance, "TeamSpeak" or "Roger Wilco", systems designed to let lots of people speak at once? Those are free, what makes Skype worthy of pay?
This is news? There have been Sony-exclusive retail stores in Guadalajara, Mexico for years. One of them went bankrupt and was replaced by a laundry wash about 2 or 3 years ago, about 5 blocks from my house.
I was there last week, and one of the students said that they're kind of a status symbol. They may be initially expensive, but once you have one the service plans are pretty cheap.
I went to Xiamen, and I came away convinced that the US will have a lot of trouble economically, thanks to China. Their government is doing A LOT to promote China as an investment opportunity. And it's a beautiful, clean place to live.
Could you please be more specific with your cursing? I spent a minute or two wondering if you meant "Bullshitheads", "Bullshitterds" (The "d" was a typo), or Bastards.
I had to copy/paste into a text editor, count the asterisks and replace them with letters, and even then, the number of asterisks you used does not match with any insult in my database. Please think of us, slower ones.:)
Well, that's no good! Still, I guess it's mostly a fault of the board design, not the rubbers themselves. It would probably be much worse without them...
God! The Rockbox software in its newest form just kicks ass. I find it so good, I'd buy another Archos recorder 20 if/when mine breaks down. I love being able to tweak just about anything in the player. Props to Rockbox!
Also, while mine does seem on its way out (it doesn't charge directly from the power cord, I have to replace batteries), I love the "rubber" it has in the corners. Clumsy geek, I've dropped it more than a few times, and I love watching it bounce:D
Well, even tho Mandarin is the official language in China, every zone still conserves their own dialect as a primary means of communication. Last count there were about 50+ different dialects spread all over. And even tho Mandarin is the most official language, in Hong Kong they still speak mostly Cantonese.
So, at least, the US should comply with both standards, in order to interoperate more easily with every other country in the planet. Refusing just makes it harder for everyone.
Just to clarify, the Chinese government does allow more than one child per family, there's just a couple more taxes that you must pay.

LCD is the way to go.
I'm an iPod mini owner, and I'm surprised to hear that. I didn't even know it had been featured in motion pictures.
I bought it because it looked great, and felt just right in my hand. I saw the space it had, the battery life, and that was it.
You'd think the CueCat could have been used for this... :)
I read about DNA based computers about 10 years ago from a "Popular Science" type magazine here in Mexico.
:(
I thought they'd ALREADY be, at least, close to releasing one.
It's interesting how many technologies take so much, much longer to come about than we'd like.
Flying car, I miss you
That's how I learned english too, from Final Fantasy and reading video game magazines.
:)
It's true. My early sentences were all spattered with "Rad!" and words like that, but hey, I eventually read a real book.
I feel the need to cue the usual "geek comment" regarding Yoda and his "Lightsaber Skillz!".
He looks like Sonic the Hedgehog on crack.
It's completely ridiculous. And if I could travel back in time, I'd tell myself : Self, don't bother.

I imagine this is similar to cable companies charging you a small fee for installation, and then a monthly fee.

It will probably never happen, but I would.

No, even in Mexico "Hembra" when referring to a woman is very rude. It's only meant for animals, or very uneducated people.
No it isn't. I won't.

Wow. Is she single?
Wohoo! Free subscription baby!

Oh well. PiMP 120 you say?

I guess they ARE boycotting the site! They fudged your link to it... It must be a conspiracy...
Oh man. Sir, I'm gonna ask you to turn in your Certified Nurrrrd card.
Well, it isn't much different from, for instance, a business where workers can contribute ideas (and are rewarded for it)...

Has that happened before? Not with Nintendo, I don't think so.
