Well, you're certainly doing them a favor comparing Generals to Starcraft.
Starcraft, beyond having very refined gameplay mechanics, had a very compelling story to keep you playing singleplayer. Generals doesn't even bother with that.
Oh yeah. Three of my friends decided to travel directly to Paris for their vacation, instead of passing through New York or Atlanta, even if that was as much as 200 dollars cheaper.
Well, credit cards are supposedly on the way out, aren't they? At least mexican banks are moving to a random key generator that you carry around. It's extremely beta, but it's slowly expanding.
I've been reading Slashdot for close to 8 years now, I can't stand Linux. Because it's FUCKING UGLY. I tried KDE on Knoppix, and while it was functional, it didn't offer anything that Windows couldn't do.
If Ubuntu can give me something that works just as easy as in Windows (ie no damn "pcaptget upd --programget whatever"), and makes it prettier, then who wouldn't switch?
As it is, Ubuntu doesn't detect my 2Wire wireless modem. Or it may detect it, if I use some of those obscure lines.
I really want it to work.
(And fuck you to the guy who will say "WELL MAByE YUO SHOULD REOD MANUALS". If windows doesn't require me to do so, why should Linux?)
Yeah, another software package like... Like what? cPanel is pretty much the standard here. There's a couple other ones I've heard of, but I don't even remember their names.
Regardless of the subject matter (not sure Romero is still relevant), this is a great magazine, and the closest thing I've seen to "game journalism". Truly good writing.
One becomes addicted to stress and to the workload. My dad has worked 30 years at a retail store(he owns), and he still goes all day. He doesn't need to. I guess they just like what they do.
Ha, awesome. In resident evil 4, there are various places where organisms that control their host cause them to act in strange manners. They mention the Dicrocoelium Dendriticum, which takes control of an ant's brain, and makes it go sit on top of a leaf, until a sheep eats it. Why? Because the Dicrocoelium D. wants to be in a sheep's stomach, since it's the best environment for it to breed.

It's not as great as you think: (NSFW)

The MTV site wouldn't load on my Opera browser. =/

And you want to emulate the Netherlands? right.
It sure as hell ain't gonna be linux. I'd imagine it'd be MacOS.
Sure, but ALSO make it beautiful.

Who cares if it makes a profit? They got so far behind them in terms of competition, maybe this was the easiest way...

Have you not noticed that a few reputable airlines have already prohibited laptop batteries on their flights?
You can fly with the laptop, but you must not take the battery with you. You are limited to the plane's power sources.
I don't think he's saying the DRM affects the quality.
He's probably referring to the fact that if he wants it to be a 320kbps file, itunes won't provide that.
And a 128kbps mp3 is completely distinguishable from a 256kbps mp3.
You know, this Blue Screen of Death joke... How about we try retiring it, I'd say it's time. I haven't seen a blue screen in years.
:(
We need new jokes
I'll be honest, I forgot what the changeover from VHS to DVD was like. Were people eager to get DVDs?
"I gained about 40lb of muscle over the course of my sophomore year. "
See, this is physically impossible, and to me, it invalidates your whole post.
"knowing I'm not giving dollars direct to Microsoft ever again."
I'm pretty sure Microsoft owns a good chunk of Apple ^_^

Much like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Wow, this is awesome! Can you share how to get the links from google video?

Thanks, videogames!
Yes, but why should you take away my right as a creator to control how my creations are distributed?
Ungarnished rice?
Luxury.
I had to learn to hunt and kill the mice that creep around my machine's warm processor to nourish myself.
Sounds like a City 17 flying camera! =)
Completely off topic, but it's bugging me.
Is it supposed to be "Hear Hear"? Or "Here here"?
I always thought it was the first.
