Should our only concern be the direct effect on humans, or should we also consider possible indirect effects?

"it's" is a contraction of "it is", so the grammar is wrong: "It is neighbors."

The possesive form is "its", and the plural would be "they".

My kids school has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. It is complete bullshit. Both my sons have been harrassed by bullies and told teachers, only to be ignored. The teachers never have done anything until my wife & I complain. The most recent time the bully was putting my younger son in a hammerlock. He was upset because he knew what to do, but he didn't want to hurt anyone. After we spoke to the teacher and explained the situation, we took him to his karate instructor so that he could show him how to handle the hammerlock without breaking the attackers arm.

The next time the bully tried the hammerlock, he ended up on his ass. Later he left school for a vacation with his family, but he never came back.

A couple years after hiring me for my first job after college, my supervisor revealed that I stood out from among the other applicants primarily because I took the time to write a cover letter specific for that job to go along with my resume. I never admitted to him that I was sending out tons of resumes and I would never have had time to write a cover letter for each one. Instead I set up a form letter to generate cover letters. In addition to standard form letter stuff, I also included a sentence in each record of the data, so that the cover letters would appear to be written specific to each job I was applying for.

I always felt that being able to fake a good cover letter was better proof of my abilities anyway.

Come drive in Philadelphia, PA. It wasn't intentional, but they've allowed most of the lines to fade away completely due to lack of maintenance. I don't think you'll find it has caused the drivers to become more careful.
