  1. Re:Targeted Content on The Good and Bad of Data Collection · · Score: 1

If you're in the business of being a political pundit, you want to read everything you can so you can talk about it. You need to see the opinions you disagree with too

Personally I think that EVERYONE should do this. Even if you don't agree or even fully understand what you are reading, as long as it has *some* relevant information, I think its important to hear other ideas. Otherwise you are pigeon holing yourself without fully exploring other possbilities.

It really seems obvious, but how many people do it? How many people get offended or just disagree and stop reading. They become blind to the other side of all things they believe in/stand for. Just my opinion.

The thing is, there's a difference between "vegetarians" and "vegans". I haven't found vegetarians to be much of a problem; they usually have no trouble finding stuff to eat. The problem is vegans.

    Two solutions for this problem:
    1: Free Range Vegans (mmmmm...tasty!)
2: Set them loose into a pen of hungry dogs and they will quickly learn thier place in the food chain.

Your data should be treated like what your mom said about underwear. She always said you better have a clean set just in case you get hit by a bus and have to go to the hospital; you better have a clean pair.

I've always had a problem with that adage. The reason being, if you got hit by a bus, hit hard, really hard, espically if you got killed. There is a pretty good chance of soiling yourself, from pain or death causing you to lose control. Clean underwear is going to do little good there. Granted its a small possibility, but then again so is being hit by a bus.

Whatever we can do, the folks making the rules can do ten fold. That may be pushing along laws that we are not going to be fond of in the end. Perhaps I should have been more clear.

Soon after something like this was passed it would be seen as an intrusion of electronic rights, which to some degree it would be. Good on paper, bad in practice. Oh hum, back to the drawing board.
