to be honest, I never really understood why the PSP homebrew scene is so much bigger than the DS
It's probably because you can run (signed) code right off the memory stick on a PSP and since game saves are stored on a memory stick, almost every user has one. With the DS you normally have to buy extra equipment.
I've played around with Pages and while I think it's a nice application, I don't really think it's for me. Pages seems like it's better suited for people who work a lot with layouts, such as somebody who works at a magazine or some other publishing house. If they made it or had the option of using as a more general word processor, then I'd probably switch from Word...and before somebody tells me to try OpenOffice.org or NeoOffice, I'll just say that I love OO.o on Windows and Linux, but NeoOffice seems really slow on my iBook, though I do applaud their efforts. I'll have to give NeoOffice another shot when I do make the switch to an Intel Mac.
The Famicom (the Japanese NES) uses a different cartridge, but there are, from what I understand, adaptors available that let you play Famicom games in a US NES. Also, if you have a Gameboy Color or Advance, there was a game released called Super Mario Bros. Deluxe that contained the original Super Mario Bros. as well as Japanese SMB 2.
Graphically, the game isn't very impressive, although it does get better towards the end.
Well, I thought the game looked pretty good for a game that was originally supposed to come out on the N64 near the end of it's life. And it looked damned impressive for an N64 game.
Ironically enough, when I went to the download page in IE it would just sit there with the Windows flag going through its loading animation. Page came right up in Firefox though.
There are many other annoyances which users of ITunes do notice. The most significant is not being able to sort by Artist and Album. Others are less important but almost as annoying as a whole.
You mean like by clicking Artist or Album? Doing so will change what's sorted and if it's sorted in ascending or descending order
Prince John: Such an unusual name, "Latrine." How did your family come by it?
Latrine: We changed it in the 9th century.
Prince John: You mean you changed it TO "Latrine"?
Latrine: Yeah. Used to be "Shithouse."
Prince John: It's a good change. That's a good change
GTA4 is planned to be out in October. The PS3 is being released in November. It's kind of hard to have a simultaneous release for multiple platforms if one of them isn't out yet.
There are other differences between the $500 and $600 versions of the systems. According to Sony, the $500 version lacks HDMI output, which means that once DRM gets implemented, you don't get the full HD resolution that Blu-Ray is capable of. Also, the cheaper system lacks a slots for Memory Sticks, SD cards, and Compact Flash cards. The cheaper one also lacks wifi connectivity. Funny how Sony left all of that out of their presentation.
This reminds me of something a professor of mine once told me: "Don't forget that every day is a new chance for things to go horribly wrong. It's a philiosphy that has brought me to the hieghts of my career...." and then in sort of a whisperish voice he coninuted "..and some of the low ones too."
Wouldn't it be more fun to learn how a real WWII plane handled and what all the instruments did and get closer to the real experience?
For some, I'm sure it would be. Others don't want to spend all the time having to learn about how read an altimeter or how the payload affects fuel consumtion. They'd rather have a simple arcade-like flight game where the only things you need to worry about are either crashing into the ground or getting shot down. I like sim-like games, but sometimes I'm looking for something where I can just jump into the cockpit and blow something up while attempting to pull some cool maneuvers.
I've been using an iBook for over a year and it has become my primary machine. That being said, I still refer to my computer running XP as my "Windows Machine" just as I refer to my linux server as, well, my "Linux Server".
From what I can tell from playing with it, "Wake on LAN" is just that, it brings the computer out of sleep mode. It won't boot the system if it's shutdown.

Unfortunatly, sites like that already exist. There's pimp myspace and pimp my profile and I'm sure many others.
MySpace told Live Journal to tell Zango that they are no longer invited to their party and that Zango doesn't have a boyfriend because she's a heffer.
Well, maybe next time Dell will put it's name on it's lunch bag.

I've never had to pay for shipping on my iPods and anytime I've priced items on their online store shipping cost has always been noted as being free.
Three years? That's nothing, Slashdot had the same plain design for like three times that.
but I just use ~
At what department stores do you shop?

While that may work today, why would parents spend $500-600 on a PS3 when they could get the same effect for $200 by buying their kids a Wii?

Yeah, well, I, Robot was released in 1983 and was the first game to feature flat shaded polygon graphics.

Yeah, but, have you seen any sailors around here?
when was the last time you played a light gun FPS? SNES?
Dreamcast, actually. House of the Dead 2 is really fun when you have a light gun.
