Am I the only one who is so bored with talking and eating at the same time? To me, food is something sacred, it is a part of me. What I eat, becomes me. And during that process, I like to focus on eating, not talking with co-workers. Talking with co-workers takes the focus away from the process of eating and digestion, making me not notice what I am putting in my system and how my system is reacting to this food.
How many times have you overeaten while talking at the same time ? It is easy not to notice what is happening while eating if trying to talk at the same time and focus on external things. If we focus on the stuff we talk, that focus is directly out of the eating process. This is why I don't like business lunchs, you forget the importance of food and it just becomes something you munch down usually.
I think we should take it slower, enjoy food, look at the food we are eating, think about how it is effecting us. This way we can process it much more effectively, letting our bodies focus on one task at a time.
Since the introduction of the Lex Nokia in Finland, which enables the ISPs to monitor the headers of e-mails (and other stuff) going through their pipes, this doesn't sound very surprising. This is something I've been pondering for a while, why don't we have color coded streets in our biggest cities so that navigation would be easier for us Human Beings ?
Human Beings understand colors and places, and can put those two together in their little memories (brains they call them) and can use that information to easily assosiate things with other things, thus remembering for example that Main Street is blue and takes me to the Green Zone, and throught that I have to take the pink road, turn left and then follow the yellow lines, and boom, I'm at the Market Zone.

But this is interesting, this might explain the actions I took when I finally realized that I can fight back against my demons. I took out my great big samurai sword and cut them all in pieces, executing physically difficult sword movements with my dream body and cut down at least hundreds of light hungry demons with my trusty dream sword. At the same time I was thinking about the relationship (or lack of) with my father and letting go of the childhood traumas relating to those events, and accepting the fact that I don't need these negative feelings anymore, it's time to let go, time to kill them.
This was one of the great big turning points in my life at least, knowing I can fight back and show who I really am. I don't know if I can thank videogames for that, but at least they've thought me a great deal of 3d-thinking, martial arts moves, physics, geometry, music theory, heck, basically any subject that comes to mind, videogames have been there to help me realize how they work.
Of course nature is the best teacher, but I would rank videogames pretty high too:)
Nope, actually I see the deja vu experience increasing as the times (haha) get more complex. We are moving towards a new level of human consciousness and this brings on all kinds of interesting events, like people remembering the future and the past, which do not really exist at all, it's just our conception of time that creates this illusion of linear x-y time.
I was bullied from the second grade upwards. Mainly by one or two year older stupid sons of bitches. I didn't know why they teased me, called me names, tried to beat me up and slapped me around. Maybe because I was a little overweight back then. My solution was to avoid going to school, spend the days in the local forests, wait outside my home until my mother left work work or whatnot. For periods of two weeks or even longer at times.
I can't even remember some of my school years because I was missing so many days. I wish I could have understood that by fighting back I could have stopped it right there. But I didn't. I always felt like it was my own fault somehow. And the teachers couldn't do anything about it. I even moved this negative energy to some other students weaker than me, which I still regret.
The traumas of all the bullying and teasing are still inside me, I can still feel the hate for those bullies. I wish I could just let go, and I know that at some point I will.
Would I be a different person if I fought back then ? Probably. But all the bullying and teasing also has tempered me as a human being, I wont accept any shit anymore, not anymore man! So in kinda of a way I thank them for making my will so strong. Still, not wishing anyone being bullied or teased, ultimately I would probably advice kids to fight back, show them that you can't be bullied, even if it's wrong in a sense. Violence shouldn't be answered with violence, but in some cases it is justified.

I can't even remember some of my school years because I was missing so many days. I wish I could have understood that by fighting back I could have stopped it right there. But I didn't. I always felt like it was my own fault somehow. And the teachers couldn't do anything about it. I even moved this negative energy to some other students weaker than me, which I still regret.
The traumas of all the bullying and teasing are still inside me, I can still feel the hate for those bullies. I wish I could just let go, and I know that at some point I will.
Would I be a different person if I fought back then ? Probably. But all the bullying and teasing also has tempered me as a human being, I wont accept any shit anymore, not anymore man! So in kinda of a way I thank them for making my will so strong. Still, not wishing anyone being bullied or teased, ultimately I would probably advice kids to fight back, show them that you can't be bullied, even if it's wrong in a sense. Violence shouldn't be answered with violence, but in some cases it is justified.

Look outside! Life is an adventure! Movies are just analogies of the real life! Don't be put down by the fact that somebody tells you that life should be boring and generalized piece of shit! Don't listen to the mass media telling that YOU aren't the center of the Universe. We all make our own worlds, and decided what comes into our lifes. Not the mass media, not other people, not anybody else than you. Remember this and your life will be filled with fantastic things.

This is my take on the 2012 hysteria looked through the glasses of a geek (I don't actually wear glasses, though). Shameless plug, but so is this article too for the movie.
A scenario like this could happen. But seriously, I think 2012 is just a marker in our fate that starts a new era of thinking and conscious working towards unity between humans. This is what I'm working towards, and I know a lot of other people are doing the same thing.
Creating fear in the masses has long been the way of Hollywood and those pulling the strings between the scenes. Don't believe the hype, think for yourselves. Don't let negative opinions of others affect you, don't believe the movie industry who just want your money.

No. If you model the human auditory system, you can figure out every possible masking technique that can be used, to determine which parts of complex sounds can be discarded without being perceived. After you've done that, it's a (relatively) straight-forward question of mathematically establishing the amount of entropy (randomness) in what's left of that hacked-up but otherwise uncompressed audio data.
Try any compression algorithms you like on the output of /dev/urandom and note that you get NO compression at all. I'm afraid the issue with audio compression is the same (boring) solved problem. The work has been done to determine the maximum theoretical compression you can get, by experts, and the only way to exceed that compression ratio is to discard audible information.
Remember, all humans are different, some might hear ultrasound, some might hear ultradeep bass sounds that nobody else hears. Humans evolve all the time and who knows what frequencies we might be hearing in another 100 years ? Maybe we will even see sounds ? Who knows.
