Most don't realize that in modern pop/rock music, you don't need a good singer, or a technically superior guitarist to get national. But if your drummer (and bassist, as part of the rhythm section) sucks, you're going no where... ever.
The genius of the Wii was that instead of having to fight with Sony and Microsoft for market share, Nintendo basically went and found a whole other market (casual gamers). Where they didn't think this through is that casual gamers are not the kinds of people who upgrade their consoles every generation, especially one with expensive hardware like the Wii U's new controller. Time will tell but the next console generation is probably going to seal Nintendo's fate.

As you can see, Japan is in fact not first, and the proximity of the release dates doesn't seem to fit in with your theory that working on localizations is the reason for the staggered launches.
What's going on is that SW:TOR and GW2 are going to be out within the next 6 months or so. Pandas are basically their "in case of fire, break glass" plan.
I actually wonder about this. Seems to me that technology has made the 2nd amendment much less impactful. 250 million armed civilians won't get you very far against tanks and fighter jets.
To add to your list, Assassin's Creed and God of War would make great movie franchises. Also, there's that Warcraft movie with Sam Raimi that keeps getting talked about but never seems to actually go anywhere...
I'm no linguistics major but my stab at this is that in ".5 books", "books" is the subject and.5 makes it non-singular. In "half a book", the more grammatically correct way to say it would be "half of a book". Then it's easier to see that "half" is the subject, which is singular, and "of a book" is merely a prepositional phrase.
I think both views are correct. If you approach learning a language by purely studying, being older is more beneficial because it's basically just another intellectual pursuit and you have more intellectual capacity. On the flip side, learning a language through immersion would be easier as a kid because you're not trying to overcome years of thinking and processing information in another language.
Or in other words, "Ironically, the cops seem extremely concerned with protecting their own privacy, but the documents encourage police to examine iPhones during the course of interacting with the public to see what apps they have."
That said- just about all countries have thier idiosyncracies... ... admittedly America has more than most.
Not more idiosyncracies; just less "syncracies"...
We certainly have a lot of other things that start with "idio-" though...
According to this, he will be half English, half Native American.
The White Stripes say hi.
Maybe he's just trying to properly convey that this situation is no laughing matter.
Bill Gates, I believe.
More like if car companies also were in control of all gas stations, gave you a car for free, and charged $15/gallon for gas.

Glee is a good show. Well, it was for the first few seasons
Haven't there only been 2 seasons? Also, it has never been good.
Your sig is deliciously appropriate for this story.
Apples and oranges. For one thing, addons aren't one of the key selling points of WoW.

The enemy's gate is down.
Not unless the last guy is willing to put his own eye out. He should be able to evade 6 Billion blind people, right?
Oh sure, evading 6 billion blind people is easy enough, but what about 7 billion???
I boot up Firefox 4. Man, that takes me way back.

You know when I'm down to just my socks it's time for business, that's why they call them business socks.
