ESET NOD32 is the way to go. Very lightweight (the scanning engine is written in assembly...) and frequently updated. Well worth the price of admission.
Take Two has the MLB liscense for cross platform games, but Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft can also make MLB games for their consoles. AFIK EA has every other major league sport in some sort of contract, and ESPN for something like 15 years, and dont forget enough innane Madden quotes for the next 75 seasons of the NFL.
Dude, You must not have been in a Toys R Us lately..... we can't keep the Tamagotchi in stock. And wave 2 of the new Tamagotchi's are arriving in the next month or two. I laughed when we got them in , but now all the little girls and some gender confused boys want them, in all the colors.... I suggest you get out more.
When I started to see some Disney/BV titles on UMD this week. Currently Pirates of the Carribean is the only non-Sony UMD on the market, but there are 3-4 more Disney/BV motie titles sitting my my stockroom for Tuesday release. I forgot the names though.....
less than huge launch. At my place of employment we recieved in 40 units, and sold 2 on Thursday. The company wanted us to sell out of them by noon, similar to the DS launch before Christmas. I know the local Best Buy, EB Games, Gamestop, were all sold out, but people do generally not come to Toys R Us for the big video game launches. So if you are looking for a PSP hit the local Toys R US, they probally still have some in stock.
The same thing happens wiith Everquest for the PS2. If you buy a used copy you are not able to re-use the cd key. IIRC there is a similar clause in the SOE/EQ EULA. This has been verified by Sony. Just wanted to point out that Blizzard/Vivendi-Universal is not the only company to not allow the re-use of CD keys.
I would think that one of those steam blowers that you see on the TV would work well, as long as you use distilled water and keep everything. Water is a great insulator. IIRC i saw something on the/. years and years ago about someone actually sinking thier motherboard in water as a cooling solution. you would still probally need to replace the powersupplies and disks, but the rest should clean up nicely.
If that fails, remove all the hardware from the cases and scrub the cases down with a bleach solution, then use rubbing alcohol on the PCB's.
As a disclaimer: I have not tried any of the above, but i think it is worth a shot. I would try it out on a PII 300 i have laying around first. But that is just me.
I have used my Model M keybrard for 8 years, got it used, works like a dream. I tried all the fancy PS/2, USB, Bluetooth, whatever and I keep comming back to my tried and true Model M. This thing has been beaten in frustration (due to Windows 95) beaten in anger (damn Warcraft 2) and dropped down a flight of stairs (on accident, Moving out of the dorms, Damn hangovers....) but I put the keys back on and still works fine. I even have all the adaptors to eventually plug it into a USB port. You will have to pry my Model M from my cold dead hands.
Step 1: Call 1-900-RIAA-SEX Step 2: Push 1 for Male, 2 for female voice. Step 3: Be greeted by hot and bothered Female voice (I chose 1). Step 4: I call back weekly because I do not know any females. Step 5: Charges show up on phone bill for RIAA. No one will suspect that it is a "Dirty Number" Step 6: ???? Step 7: Profit!
Has anyone thought about how much this will cost Disney? They _may_ have the largest network in Florida. They also bring in quite a bit of money in to the state (tourist trap). Given the fact that Disney generally grabs every penny it can, I am thinking they will use the fact that Disney world is the biggest money maker for the state and say to the government, "No."
Never thought I would be rooting for Disney, but in this case I am. I would say there is nothing to fear. But that is just my view, which I am told is usually out of sync with the real world.
No really it was, no more crappy email client bundled with their "OS". I tried to use OE one day, kept me from opening attachments that I had mailed myself from work. OE said they were infected. I was not aware that Windoze came with an antivirus checker. So I said screw it, installed RH 9, like evolution.
In summary, thanks Microsoft for helping me see the light, your "OS" sucks. Thank you for forcing me to find alternatives to your crappy software.
Every Single RPG, Computer and Paper, I have had atleast one character named BenZoate. The back story is when I started playing Shadowrun, I couldn't think of a name. So I did what anyone would do, grabbed the nearest container (a Mountain Dew can), put my finger near the contents, and took the name that under my finger. The word was Benzoate. This was like 10 years ago. The name has carried over into Rifts, Hereos Unlimited, Battletech, damn near everything.
I had the same name on Batle.net, but was offline for like a year and the name got taken. Now I can't get the name anywhere. So if anyone sees a BenZoate, get me a email address, the dude stole my name. I just want it back.
Long story long, I use the same name for everything, or as close as I can get to it. Otherwise my mind would be full of all sorts of other names instead of something important. Like, ummmmmmmmm, other stuff.........Damn that dude who stole my name, its all confusing now..................I quit.
BenZoate smacks computer with a rather large trout.
But at least nowdays most Linux distros come with a firewall program. So the option is there for more security, instead of having to pay another $50-100 for a decent firewall program.
Also the fact that Redhat distros and Windows as well can check for security updates and download them and istall them is a big step in the right direction.
Now if we could only convince a specific Redmond company that a firewall is just as essential to the OS as a web browser is............the world may just become a better place, or at least a place with less spam in my inbox.
You can find a VAX at your nearest Toys "R" Us. Not for sale, yet. In the back running all the day to day stuff. Of course when I convince them to switch over to Linux you may be able to pick them up cheap.
Hot Chicks?? There was a chick in my CS 150 class. I wouldn't call her hot though....... There was this one in the Mech E classes though....... Then I got fed up and dropped out. My roommate art major was getting more tail than I was.
i got rid of my Xupiter tool bar by doing a registry search for xupiter, killing the key, ripping out the guts from the directory. Poof, gone. No more annoying tool bar, casinos, cute fluffy animal porn.
I do suggest backing up your resgistry before attempting this, but is life with the beast, win2k, whatever.

Mr. Driller wass available at your local Toys R Us. IIRC it can be had for about 20 bucks.

Thats what my Sone and Nintendo Reps say about the people who work at Best Buy. The X-Box rep is a douch bag and likes the Besy Buy guys.....
Who whould have thunk....
I have the day off, heck, the whole week. You all have my permission to have a bad as day as you want. You have my blessings.....

Why didn't he just use a wireless hub? No cords, no risk of tripping over the cord on your quest to get more beer.

What do you mean toys for little girls?? I was the evil pastry baker guy for Halloween in Kindergarten.
On second thought my dad did want a girl.........
Back to the shrink.
