Another thing to consider is that these developer machines are technically beta and may not represent what the first Intel Mac will actually ship with. Apple may not care what people do with the Developer Macs because of the tight NDAs, but I'm sure they have a plan in place for the millions of iTels to come. Apple has repeatedly stated they are a hardware company and to loose their OS to cheap PCs would spell death to their business model.
As a government licensed aircraft mechanic I could tell you that is completely infeasible because there are simply too many airplanes in the sky to see that it is installed and the govenmental approvals to install such a device (unless the airplane is experimental everything installed in an airplane has to be FAA approved) along with the costs would see that this never happens.
My question is that isn't this already happening when people forget to turn off their cell phones and it sits in standy searching for a network?
This has been used inside aircraft engine exhaust valves since the 1930's. Liquid Sodium would be sealed inside the valve. It's non-toxic and is still used today.

Okay so they put GPS in your car so they can see where you travel and how much you should pay for roads. They also now know how fast it took you to get from point A to B, and therefor you can expect to get a ticket in the mail if you we doing 56 MPH on the highway (which in my mind is way too low, considering that most modern cars could handle 75 in the same conditions). They'll justify it so they don't have to pay as many highway troopers. And it just gets worse and worse. Match this with the stage III emissions they are planning, and they'll have complete readouts on your driving. Maybe even a Gas guzzler tax if you accelerate too quickly. Your car will rat you out, and the taxman will get richer. So, what is the end result? The rich get richer. (auto makers can charge more for smart vehicles, the list goes on) The politicians get more power. The poor get poorer. And the middle class now has to work twice as hard to get by (not only to pay all the new fees, but to get a job since our society seems to enjoy systematically ruining peoples lives by replacing us with robots). So, as you can see those within the sphere of the power elite enjoy a richer and stronger world, while the rest of us get the shaft. You just have to love human nature....
Companies still have to pay federal tax. ANd due to an obscure tax law both of those companies were able to negate their responsibilities by giving their executives stock options... Enjoy your April 15th.

The shear amount of effort and thought that has gone into creating a better airplane is astounding... But for what? Those amazing fighter airplanes everyone thinks are so cool are designed for what? To kill people. No other purpose. To continue the effort to self-exterminate ourselves. And the civilian models? More profit for the power elite. Oh and Nike? The $895,400,000 in gross profit from last quarter is all I have to say. While they may not employ thugs, they are bastards themselves as a third of that money would bring their sweatshops out of the third world. THink about it. Then think of how you world feel if you were a "have-not."

All of the amazing advances we have made... yet people still starve and die in the street all over the world. Why? Because human nature is to create for personal gain. And how long has Apple had high-end solutions (they work) for both Wireless connectivity and DVD recording capabilities?

I always saw cheat codes as a way to further the experiences of a game and I think they work great as a reward for finishing the game. I always find it fun to go back to a board using cheat codes that took forever to complete and wreak havoc.
I think the optimum setup is when they are intergrated into the gameplay, so you don't have to go through hoops in order to get them to work.
I've often wondered why more developers don't utilize them as a feature of the gameplay.
NASA uses a B-52 for high altitude drops of prototype flight models.
It was actually tail number "008" making it the oldest operational B-52.
It is also the lowest flight time operational B-52.
I believe there was a plan at one point to extend their operational life by replacing their dual engine pods with the recently introduced engines used on the 777. As some of you may know, that engine is huge (it's intake diameter is the same as the diameter of a 737s fuselage!), so, I'm not quite sure how they planned to do that.
But if you add up the total thrust that would be produced for 4 777 engines, it would be enough to acclerate the B-52 vertically!
